Well folks, if you've not already seen the list on the weekly store update, you might need to brace yourself for this one. There are FIFTEEN new demos for the PS3 this week. Yes, you read that right. Fifteen. 15.
This is due in part to the launch of the 'Playstation Move', the much hyped alternative to the Wiimote which promises to be even more accurate and powerful and ... yada yada... at the very minimum another £30 out of your pocket.
But alongside the nine Move-dependent demos, there are no less than FIVE new demos that don't use the new controller (and one old updated demo that swings both ways). Pretty amazing... And look at the list - the awaited FIFA 11, along with PES2011 - and Enslaved! Completely out of the blue, that one!
And the bad news? No PSP demos again.

(A couple of other points: I believe NBA 2K11 will support Move but apparently the demo doesn't.... Also no part of the description for Racket Sports says that Move is required, but I tested it for you and it definitely does need that funky new ball-on-a-stick....
And the demos for FIFA10, 2010 FIFA World Cup, PES2009, PES2010, NBA 2K10 are all still on the store at the moment, but some of them will probably be removed soon.)
Yeah, it's definitely gone - thanks for pointing that out - I need to do a complete sweep of the store and figure out what other demos have gone.
As for getting your hand on a demo, I can only think of seeing if any recent issues of the Playstation Official Magazine had the demo on the cover disc.... Does anyone know? But even then, a back issue would set you back £6. You'd be better getting the game on rental for a couple of days to try it out... Sorry - once it's off the store, there's no telling if it will come back.
Do my eyes deceive me? A PSP demo? Wow! And it's huge, too. And there are three PS3 demos to add to that, including the trial-and-unlock for Blade Kitten.
Thanks to shaGa85 for pointing out that all three Skate demos have been removed. I also note that with the arrival of NBA Elite 11, so has NBA Live 10 been removed. So - four in, four out...
