Games on the store

Why are the games for download on the store not the fully patched and up to date versions. Just downloaded LBP2, saw the version number as 1.07 and thought great that must the up to date patch, but no, had to download 6 other patches before being able to play the game.

This is not the first time I have had to do this, I hope this is not going to be the case for all the new ps+ content.

You would think that digital versions of a game would be patched up to date and ready to go!!! or am I just being unreasonable

The bigger the download the more Sony charge the publisher.

Patches are NOT stored on Sony servers they belong to the publisher game server so don't atract a Download fee.

New complete versions of game have to go though the same stages of publishing as the old version did so thats double the bug testing and another extra cost. The first time bug testing and now the second time bug testing.

The more the publisher is charged the more money they will charge YOU and the mark up for there time will increase to cover there time need agreeing the fee prices with SCEE.

Due to the PS3 using PKG folder system for most updates the install Size from the store would be no different than the patch add ons any way.

PS+  updates games while your not using the PS3. Content and patches are released for owners Who buy from day one release. Not those who waited for a free bee game, late arrivals are not the target audience user any way.

LBP2 is not New its over 16 months old thats why it was selected as a free bee.
