Having just noticed the brand new PS2 classics section on PSN, I'm going to shamelessly bump this thread and say that it doesn't get more "PS2 classic" than GTA San Andreas. Please Sony, there's serious money in releasing it on PSN.

One thing makes me wonder though, I have an old 80GB PS3, one of the first to lose backward compatibility with PS2 discs, do digital downloads work around that issue?

all games (PS2 included) sold on PSN works on all PS3s, its just the PS2 Disc games that does not work on them all.

In my experience I found that very few of the ones I actually wanted to play did work even on my launch 60gb with supposed backwards compatibility...
