After weeks of waiting for a promised phone call from the idiots at Sony, I'd finally had enough. Today I called customer "service"in Australia and spoke to grinning the idiot Ben there who obviously prefered to stay asleep at his post than actually answer his phone and help people.
I was told the reason why the code doesn't work is because the game Dead Island was never released in New Zealand. IDIOTS THE LOT. I called Mighty ape the store that sold me the game and they assured me that indeed it was sourced locally, censored locally by the censorship office and is a LOCALLY RELEASED GAME. I even called EB Games to check that their two versions were NZ releases as well. The manager there could not believe the ineptitude of SONY in Australia as well and told me that NO they are NOT imported games but released locally.
So, SONY, what are you going to do about my code? Ignore this post as you choose to ignore everyone elses pleas for help beacause you are in "BETA" or you just don't feel like it or some other such excuse?This is part of the reason WHY the outage happened...people sick of being treated like rubbish and being ignored by YOU. Please deign to answer my inquiry. The ticket number is 111 0122-002212.
And please close down the Australian "help"desk. The staff are unfriendly, always seem to be on the defensive, and have no powers to actually fix what is broken. Forever thing are passed onto europe and weeks pass before we hear, or I should say are emailed anything at all of a problem. We never get promised phone calls, and promised emails are erratic if they even bother to be sent at all.
Your customer "service" for Aust/NZ is BROKEN. Transfer it to competent people whom at least can show us that they enjoy their jobs and not enjoy rarking people up the wrong way... You know the saying...pay peanuts...And give them a typewriter each at least as well. NOT AMUSED...
After months of frustrations, being pillared to post after post and birthing countless farrows of piglets in frustration, the Dead Island dlcs are now all working for those whom have been trying to use their codes with an NZ PSN account.So now I can sell all of my piglets of frustrations to Hutton's and enjoy the Arena dlc and the Home dlc not to mention the Ryder White dlc which went live last night as well...)))
