PSN+ questions regarding free games

[ Edited ]

1. I bought 3 months of PSN+ as soon as I heard that there will be 10 free games in one month. Although I haven't played any of them yet, I checked the Information and apparently, all of the games will expire on 9th of September. Is this because my 3 months of PSN will expire on that day? If I renew, will I have to re-download them again, or can I just start playing the PSN freebies straight away?

2. If I delete any of the full free PS3 PSN+ games, can I re-download them again?

3. If my PSN+ subscription expires, what will happen to my save files for the free PS3 full games? Will they be deleted with the expiration?

4. I currently have the 160GB stock HDD and with the amount of free PS3 games provided by the PSN, it won't be long until I have no more space. If I upgrade my HDD, can I re-download the freebies again?

Sorry if I use the words PS3 full free games, I don't really know the simple word for those.

Thanks

Yep

No need to re-download, they should start working straight away. (If they don't your PS3 maybe just needs a quick 'reminder' of your subscription, so a quick download of a PS+ avatar or even just the first beginning of a megabyte of a download of a PS+ game should be enough to refresh its memory.)

Yes, while your subscription is active, as many times as you like.

3. If my PSN+ subscription expires, what will happen to my save files for the free PS3 full games? Will they be deleted with the expiration?

No, any saves on your PS3 will stay on your PS3, ready for when you either buy the game or resubscribe. I think any saves stored on the PS+ cloud storage may be deleted if you don't resubscribe immediately though.

Also, if you don't want to resubscribe immediately, check your settings - a lot of people find to their horror that the PS+ is set to automatically renew itself.

Thanks a lot!

How long is long enough for the saves to be deleted in the cloud storage?

Also, can you tell me how to disable auto-renewal? I'm pretty new to PS3 and the navigation can be confusing.

Re: PSN+ questions regarding free games

For auto-renewal, from XMB, select account management, then transaction management and lastly, services list. You'll find PS Plus there and it gives the option.

As for cloud, I can't say with 100% certainty but I'm pretty sure it's as QuietlyWrong said, the saves are lost immediately.

Saves in Online storage are there for 6 months before deletion if you do not re-subscribe.
