Thats disgusting, unless he is being payed to do it then i can only conclude they have NO lives. It really says alot about you if you have that many. I have ONE, i consider myself a hardcore gamer as well!

Im shocked, but also disgusted.

I think EA are testing the water with how much they can get away with.  I mean they've priced things pretty competitively in the past (Battlefield 1943, Burnout Big Surf Island) so I can't think of any other reason for them to price this at such an unrealistic level than they wonder if people will pay it.  I know quite a few friends with DA: Origins and I don't think a single one is getting this expansion.

Pricing for digital downloads in general is all over the place at the moment.  I mean as soon as you purchase it it has a value of nothing.  There is no resell value, no returns policy.  This media needs to be priced accordingly.  At £5.50 General Knoxx (Borderlands expansion)  is a perfect price point to reflect the impulse buy reflex of the vast majority of gamers.  People don't mind taking the risk with their money if it's less.  But to fork out more than a tenner for something, you need to know if its GOOD, and you're going to get your money's worth out of it.  32 nicker is just WAY out the park.

Maybe it'll sell, and I'll be proved wrong.  If that happens god help the gamer on a budget in the future...

Re: PlayStation Store Update Thread

it is a ridiculous price for an expansion! especially as you stated "as soon as you purchase it it has a value of nothing. There is no resell value, no returns policy." i certainly wont be buying it at the price!!!

Ouch @ The Dragon Age expansion. :smileysad: Download only too so no chance of it being on disc unless there's a GOTY edition coming out in a few months.
