I have a problem with the images that the Store team pick for the Store. Could one of the mods please draw this to the attention of the team?

They do it over and over again. Not every month, but not so very rarely either.

Some of the images they pick are just too light for the text that goes over them. Either that or they need to introduce a much darker drop-shadow under the text.

I've reported it more than once in the Store blog update, but I think I've been ignored or misunderstood. I've mentioned it more than once in the forums.

Last month, I started taking pictures, because I don't think I'm getting my point across. On 14th March, it looked like this (as I've already mentioned):

This week, it's actually worse:

Now I realise that there are many other 'view modes' to choose from, and light-coloured backgrounds only affect the one view mode with text... But I always browse the store in this mode because it's the only one that gives a description of the item (so you can easily tell if it's a game, demo, DLC, theme, avatar, video, whatever) and because, more importantly, it gives the prices.

When will this madness end? Somebody pleeeeease sort it out!

Will raise it as an issue to the Store team for them to at least look at and hopefully fix for you guys.

It's not so much a fix we need as a tighter set of guidelines for acceptance of background images.

Yeah - I can't use my favourite theme because it renders the PSN notifications in the top right hand corner useless. It makes them white text on a white background... Genius.

So how long before a new wallpaper comes along with a load of white space in the middle? Like that recent GoW background...?

I mean, do I have to take photos of every background that makes the text hard to read? It's not the highlight of my day...

Like I say, there should be some guidelines for the selection of suitable backgrounds or a change to the way text is displayed so it can be easily read on any background.
