The Final Fantasy Special offers Discount

Hope some FF fans or anyone can help me. Ive never had/playedany Final Fantasy game besides Final Fantasy X till i bought 4, 7,8 & 9 yesterday. So i have a question about the ones that are offered at discount at the moment till the 11th july.

Final Fantasy 1 & 2: In the psx classics section are they the games sold seperately from the "final fantasy origins game that was originally released on psx? and are they the best versions of the games you can get ? i havent played them ever or is the nes or snes versions better?

Final Fantasy 5 & 6: In the psx section aswell. Are these games better than the SNES versions? im a bit confused about the numerical order of some of these games aswell. Im guessing these games are 2&3 on the NES ?

Also are the PSP games like the Dissidia series worth buying lastly im getting a Vita in the future and im wonderign do PSP games even look as good on the Vita as they did on psp ?

FF1 & 2 - I don't think these are in the PSX classics section are they? They're the PSP remakes of the NES games. As such they feature some much fancier graphical frills and have been widened to fit the 16:9 screen. But they do hark back to the NES versions in their gameplay. I don't think anyone would point to them as being remotely on a level with the SNES games, but they're OK, especially if you're a big fan of the series and want to see how it developed.

FF5 & 6 - these were 5 and 6 in Japan; I believe they were indeed originally 2&3 when released in the West. They are the PSOne games, which are pretty much exact ports of the SNES classics but with a couple of FMV videos added to the game. That's about the only difference I think.

As for PSP games on the Vita. In my opinion, they look pretty much exactly like they did on the PSP, though perhaps the higher resolution of the screen gives them a slightly blockier appearance, slightly less sharp-edged. (They're not actually distorted in any way, thanks to the exact 2-to-1 ratios of the screens.)

No, they aren't. The PS1 versions of FF5 & FF6 are horribly bad ports that suffer from long loading times.

All signatures sucks, especially those with images in them.

alright thanks for the help guys , seem like theyre sadly inferior ports so im jsut gonna stay with 7,8,9 ive bought yesterday and buy the psp games instead. 1&2 are prob too oldschool for me now and i doubt ill play them first and by the time i get to them it will prob be end of 2013 atleast :smileyvery-happy:

5&6 : as you mention have apprently incredible load times so im gonna skip those aswell

ye i remember when 6 (3) came out when i had a snes unfortunately i lived in europe where it never got released and buying it as import cost like 2 highest priced snes games back then. I will eventually eventually either get the psx or snes version though. If i dont ever buy a snes again ill settle for the psx version. I do have a wii aswell apparently just found out the snes version is on the store so im prob going to get that one
