Re: The PS+ '12 Gifts'

ps plus is very hit and miss, i only bought 3 months cause i was going to buy code veronica anyway and figured i might as well have the discount. Since then got £1 off back to the future and downloaded where is my heart, which i played for about 5 minutes, bit tired of retro games.

Re: The PS+ '12 Gifts'

Mayby we (so called moaners) wouldnt be so disapointed if recent couple months on plus wouldnt been so bad and so sub-bar SCEA. Besides that blog post was poorly constructed to deceive people to get them excited and then -- buahaha! nothing for ya zero-day plus loser! Plus is rapidly reaching my DC-point (Don't care) like home before. Then there will be no more moaning...
My requests for SONY: 1) Integrate PlayStation3 and your 400 disc MEGACHANGER, Im way too lazy to switch game BDs, u could call it forexample MEGASTATION. 2) Build Specialized Fat-AiBO which has MEGASTATION in belly and two projectors as eyes for 3D projection in any given room of the house. You can call them PLAiBO.

Re: The PS+ '12 Gifts'

I think it wouldve been better if they offered an exclusive game or game(s) which haven't been in, or will never be in plus, to those who already have received all the games on the list. Maybe not 12, but something of decent quality to reward their earlier subscribers.

Of course it would have to be locked out to only individuals who have been a member for a specified period of time.

I can't fault sony for trying to get more people to join, the more revenue they get from plus, the better (hopefully) content we'll receive in the future. However that's not to say they should push their original subscribers away, afterall they are the people who more or less made psplus take off.

So the PS+ gift promotion has been unveiled on the blog and there appears to be so much dissension.

I'm a subscriber and I don't feel hard done by, It's only business after all to tempt new customers into the fold.

It's not their main update for the month, its a little bonus for if you missed any content previously or as I said to tempt new customers.

Some people though don't share that view and feel that they are personally being ripped off and that Sony owes them more as they already own the content.

What's your stand?

I'm not a subsciber, but from what I gathered about the whingers was that the 12 gifts are what have already been available through plus and that there is hardly anything new to chose from?

What they really should do is total what they've had for free, on top of the enjoyment they've had and what its cost them. I bet they're not out of pocket :smileywink:

To be fair I was VERY sceptical of PS+ including lines such as the console cost me enough why should I pay more?

Oh well afte the PSN outage and the free trial I came to realise that for the cloud saves and not having to wait on updates made it worth my while, I sub at 3 months at a time just cos its easier for me I know subing for the year is cheaper I would if I could but I cant.

I have several things from the listed as is but oh well not to worry. I enjoy my PS+ it has its uses lol. cept when they entice me with all 3 crash bandicoots and i can only have 2 lol!!

On another note I agree I'd love to be ion the office when the blog guys read some of the whiners posts surprised some dont created secondary accounts just to give em abuse in reply ... I know I would ....

You only got two of the crash games :smileysad:, it let me download them all.

Re: The PS+ '12 Gifts'

Regardless of the moaning, there is some place for going back over old Plus ground for those people who haven't been on since day one. There's only one game on that list that interests me, but hey, it's free and it interests me, so I'm not complaining.

Perhaps in future they could do offers whereby you can choose between game 1, game 2 and game 3; as long as one of them has never been offered free on Plus before, newer subscribers might appreciate the choice, especially if new game 1 isn't their cup of tea.

Re: The PS+ '12 Gifts'

Don't really like this...scheme.

I am aware that it probably will be good to get new guys on board, but it's anoying how the longer servents don't get any of these 'Christmas Gifts'....as though we have been on the Naughty List for being around for too long.

I suppose it's like being the Older Brother/Sister and the new Younger Baby/Todler/Little-Child Brother/Sister GETS EVERYTHING and you get a couple of things :smileytongue:

I understand that most of us already had the opportunity to get these anyway while we were PS+ members, but my main beef is that we get nothing at all as a Christmas Treat apart from the usual December Update (which lets be honest, lately has been a bit crap).

I'm a happy PS+'er, and will continue to be...love the Auto Downloads and Cloud Saves, but one can't help but feel this is a kick in the Teeth for the Existing Customer, but Sony aren't the first to do so...new Customers always get the best deals...so any new Guy on PS+ for December will be loving this and good on them.

Unfortunately it's got me hating on Sony for a month, lol, and Ross from the PS Blog for his inability to get the other point of view.

Bah Humbug!
