The only 2 other tower defense games we have are savage moon and PJ monsters and while both are good and have different visual styles they are very similar in many ways while PvZ offers something totally different for the tower defense genre and hooks in all types of players. I know this since me an my partner often play it in the evenings with her putting in more time on it than me!
Its such a witty and smart game that is perfect for all ages (in the same way the simpsons is i would say) and has been a hit on the PC and on STEAM with hardcore players and reviewers with eurogamer giving it game of the year 2009! Goes to show that GFX dont make a game as its not even 3D!!
I would love to see POPCAP release it onto PSN (hopefully its just a matter of time) as i know its already penned in to be released on XBL and iPhone(!) later this year.
Anyone else spent hours on this highly addicitive game and agree it should come to PSN sooner rather than later? :-)
