Re: Did Sony pull one over on us?

So I'm now kind of screwed for being a loyal customer and owning a PS3, PSP, and PS Vita? I guess I'm just lucky that I don't have any content I can share with my PS2... -.-;

Re: Did Sony pull one over on us?

I don't know if anyone noticed but they didn't touch the activation number for comics/videos. So as it stands handheld games have less of a count than my comics do. Wow, the logic... Infallible

Re: Did Sony pull one over on us?

So if I was considering buying a 3rd PS3 for my children do Sony class this as game sharing, if so would they expect my 6 year old son to get a job so he can purchase his own content. Maybe Sony could look at limiting the console locations to 2 would that not be better.

That's exactly what it means mate.  Sony have effectively capped their own consoles in a single home at 2 in regards to Downloadable PS3 games, PSN Games, DLC and Online Passes.  They did provide a way around it, but it's more trouble than it's worth... i.e. deactivating one console while activating the third, who wants to do that everytime you play a game!!

Smart thinking eh!!  Give that guy a pay rise!!

Re: Did Sony pull one over on us?

Wow, way to go Playstation Staff. Glad I bought upgraded versions of your consoles and spent well over $1000 on the PSN so I can be screwed out of convenience. That's totally how you convince me to buy your new consoles. Glad I wasn't stupid and bought 4 PSPs so I could have each as a controller. Then i'd have been truly ***** off. Wouldn't want to buy the Vita now. Not now i'm at my maximum usage limit already. Thanks for the quick rape. Thats way how you treat loyal customers and users. <3

Re: Did Sony pull one over on us?

Is there any way to deactivate a console without being physically at that console ?? I went to a friend's place recently wanted to play my bomberman Land which I purchased, forgot to deactivate one of mine here first. If there isn't , then that is another deceit of Sony

Re: Did Sony pull one over on us?

What you need to do is deactivate all the consoles at

https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/login.action

Then just reactivate the consoles that you want to use your digital content on.

Here's a link to a walkthough:

http://us.playstation.com/support/answer/index.htm?a_id=2616

Keep in mind, you can only do this once every 6 months.

Re: Did Sony pull one over on us?

Ok...having something then not having it sucks...agree wholeheartedly, BUT:

Thank god I don't have to buy two discs to play any game on both of the consoles in my house at the same time anymore...I can legally share the same game with one other console to be played at the same time if I buy it as a download...wow...

Once upon a time 2 consoles = 2 game purchases to be played at once

Now 2 consoles = 1 purchase => half price (or less)...wow!

If 5 consoles = 1 purchase = 1/5th price, does that = greedy??

If I could afford more consoles, I am sure I could afford to purchase 2 licenses/downloads and therefore cover 4 consoles and 4 portables.

I appreciate the the original poster feels agrieved at now having less than what he once had...but I kind of feel offended at his righteousness in demanding more than twice as much access for the same price that I pay for my two consoles. The only time my family will have more than two consoles is when my kids are old enough to pay for their own...and then they can damn well pay for their own games aswell.
