Hi guys im wondering if Final Fantasy 8 and 9 is on the playstation store. I currently do not own a PS3 but if these are available this will give me even more reason to buy it! Please respond and thanks for your help.

No, neither of these are available at the moment. FF VII (7) has been on the store for a while now, and many people are waiting on FFVIII (8) as it is aparently meant to release soon.

Hopefully 8 & 9 arn't too far off. I know in the hong kong store they alreaddy have FF1, 2, 7, and 8, so hopefully Australia/New Zealand isn't too far off getting them.

FF 8 will NEVER be posted on the PSN store in PAL land unless Sony updates the PS3 back compatability. FF8 doesnt work on ANY PAL PS3 system since it uses a special loading techniqe that Sony would have to write special BC code for. It wont happn.

If you check the EU Playstation Blog, in the latest store update Mike said that FF8 is currently in tesing and should be released *soon*.... I'm hoping it will be on the store by the end of the year.

I think the FFviii will be released to tie in with the japanese launch for XIII

Well, they just received Final Fantasy VIII in America, so the PAL region can expect to have it within the next, ohh, 2-3 years. Unless you happen to be immortal, I wouldn't expect IX will be released in your lifetime, so don't bother waiting.

Its been confirmed for a PAL release in January 2010 on the European Blog. Not too long to wait.
