Playstation Video Store = EPIC FAIL! What a massive dissapointment.
Sony and other online content retailers have a real opportunity to provide a value for money service and make a dent in the world of piracy by offering good product at reasonable prices, but instead they all seem to want charge more for the product than you pay at a store where you receive something tangible. I was shocked to find SD Stereo Audio Avatar for $24.99. What a joke... I paid $25 for the movie on Blu-Ray from K-Mart on release day. Even the rental prices for movies are out dated.
They all say that people will "pay for convenience", but they don't seem to realise that at those kind of prices, it is more convenient to go to the shop and rent/buy the product, or worse, download it illegally where no-one in the production/supply chain gets a cent.
And it's also not convenient for everyone to use 3 to 8Gb of your download quota for the privalidge of not going to the shops.....
Please Sony and other studios, wake up to reality and offer the products at a reasonable price that people are willing to pay. Most people will do the right thing if you do and what you lose in margin, you'll more than make up for in turnover.......

Well I'm not too fussed about the price. I wouldn't really buy a download version of a movie anyway (it's better to get it on bluray). I just wish the option to rent movies was standard with all or most films. Some films you can buy but not rent them. WHY!? What if you want to watch a movie but have no intention of wanting to own it? You would be better off going down to the local video store and renting it there, but then what would be the incentive of downloading it from the PS Store? Isn't that the point of having it there in the first place? Come on, Sony give us the option of renting or owning all movies not just a select few.

Well here is a truly misleading reality ...
Bought two moviie rental downloads online for what was meant to be the quoted Australian price. What showed up on my credit card statement was the AUS price plus the US exchange rate which was far higher than what I agreed to. How misleading and a ripoff is this?
Is anyone else experiencing this?
