Welcome to the Ratchet & Clank Platinum Race and Trophy Tips!

the Ratchet & Clank Collection is out! woo! think back to the old days when the first game was released, there were no alien menaces intent on turning squishies into robots, sexy Courtney Gears or evil business-like Chairmen (er...). and none of us knew what a Sheepinator did or what a Lombax was (probably).

Trophy Tips and Tricks

what better way to celebrate than to put all our skills to the test (and hopfully find some new skills that we'd forgotten about), pulling together and sharing all the trophy tips and any tricks we come across, helping each other out and racing towards those Platinum trophies!

can be any type a advice for trophy seekers, whether its a cool location youve found to grab lots of bolts, or tactics on how to defeat a boss with just your wrench (and your cunning, obviously) or maybe even a whole 0. any and everything is welcome, just post in on up in this topic 8).

so start posting away and help your fellow forumers!

The Platinum Race!

as a little extra, we can also have a friendly (read: no RYNOs) Platinum Race aswell! this means complete a whole game, grab its platinum trophy, post up your time and get yourself plonked up on the leaderboard for everyone to see and worship and praise and adore and aim to beat!

all three games in the R&C Collection are more or less the same sort of difficulty, this means you can pick whichever adventure from the trilogy you want to go for! you can even enter a time for all three games!

the cool thing is you try this challenge whenever you fancy! the timer doesnt start until youve pinged your first trophy, and then youre off and the times ticking! today, tomorrow, next week, doesnt matter when you start (or finish 8D), your time can still be the fastest no matter when you begin.

just to get your sprockets lubricated that bit more, theres also some not-blinking-and-dangerous-at-all signature prizes up for grabs to everyone that enters:

  

- get your name anywhere on the leaderboard! (2yrs+ is still a good time!)

- be in the top spot at least once! (if youre the first entry youll be quickest for a bit...)

- beat Narrators time! (you dont need rock. hard. abs. to do this).

to have your name added, just post up your times and a link to your profile on a trophy site, like:

and thats it! easy peasy. only thing to do now is start collecting all those bolts! good luck!

hehe, nice going litt. hopefully youll be fighting through the games and setting awesome times

ive platinumed R&C3! woo, yay *shoots quack-o-matic in the air*. though those trophies arent syncing atm, so best to wait until they do before getting slapped up on the leaderboard

the hardest bits were the Skill Points, specifically setting super-quick times in the Quark Vid-comics, they were tricky and took alot of goes. levelling up all the weapons took ages aswell. but you get a super Omega RYNO for your troubles lol.

I'd already have all the platinums on the PS2 ones. Might take me a while on these ones since I don't really care for trophies, but Ratchet might make me put my doubt aside.

yeah you should totally give it a try hydra, see if youve got better (or, um, worse xD) since you played them last .

Waiting on Amazon for my pre-order hopefully should be here soon. Was emailed ETA 1 to 4 weeks but they're showing stock again. 

I will go for a speedily run of Ratchet and Clank should be able to crack it from memory played it enough on PS2. Will take my time with the others will be good to play the multiplayer on Ratchet and Clank 3 again.
