Are you sure DanTheMan is that high?

I just looked up his profile (http://ps3heroes.com/hero/DanTheMan) and did the RYNOC on it and it came out as 19 point something

My updated RYNOC is 27.356

If you want, I will work out the current RYNOC score for everyone in the leaderboards WJB1 Should be able to do it on Saturday if you want?

Whoops, that should have been DanTheMan70, he reported it as that on 25/7/09, but it's significantly lower now.

That would be really helpful if you could, it would be good to get some of the ones that are a year and a half old up to date. I didn't update the leaderboard last month as I've been slightly overwhelmed with uni work over Christmas, I've got a 25 page introduction due in in a week.

I propose that we decide on a "fair" period after which, if somebody has not updated their RYNOC, they get removed from the list.
This will therefore take into account situations like DanTheMan who has been the "leader" for ages because it's just not been updated. Generally your RYNOC would decrease over time due to playing more games and not platinuming them (thus getting more bronzes), bearing in mind that's just a generalisation.
Additionally some people might have even totally forgotten about this therefore not bother updating their calculations.

Now doing it every week/month is not feasable however I'd propose either a 3 or 6 month limit, if a person has not submitted an updated RYNOC within tht period they get removed from the list?

Great idea, I'm behind this 100%.

It should really be a list of those who regularly check in and I don't think a 3 month cycle is too harsh.

As you suggest, if someone creates an account, Plats Terminator Sally, then posts here, they will be at the top forever more.

Maybe we should even wipe the slate clean for 2011?

It's not a bad idea, looking at the dates, 6 months would reduce the current 139 people to 41, 5 months to 29 people, 4 months to 22 people and 3 months to 19 people. I think I'm more inclined to go for 6 months than 3.

I don't know how to add a 'named' link in my signature, I'll ask a mod, but how about we try drum up some interest in this?
Think of some kind of standard thing to put in our signatures to get it out into the other parts of the forum? Something like:

"What's your RYNOC? Official PS3 Forum trophy ranking list"
Where RYNOC is a link to this thread

I'm open to ideas for a standardised message

Well, what I was going to do was update everyones score in the table maybe once a month to keep everyone up to date.

Which way would you guys prefer? I could make it so that if anyone has not earned any trophies at all in 6 months that they are removed?

If people can't be bothered to update their score, should they be on the scoreboard? I'm not trying to discourage you from doing it, but is it worth it?
