hey hey
at a basic level which is considered to be the be all and end all of the trophy card.
Number of Trophies
Number of Platinum's
Trophy Level
I noticed my trophy level is higher than some of the guys here with a fair few platinum's Are platinums more important then the level or sheer number of trophies someone has ?

I'd have to say it's personal preference, i only plat games i like, but if i dont like a game i'll at least complete it once.

Number of trophies and trophy level can represent either how much someone goes for them or how many different games they play if they aren't bothered by trohies, plats represent how much they dedicate to each of those games, so I guess tbh they're all meaningless to me, stuff like trophy level is a nice indication of how much someone games (although it's inaccurate if they replay the same games or play multiplayer a lot) but what's more worthwhile is what games people play and what games they enjoy enough to keep playing and get all the trophies for, not that it matters but that's what's interesting imo.
Though as StuR328 eloquently pointed out one must take into account the formula of trophy and platinum quantity = ***** size.
EDIT: Wow, they blank out the 'p' word, it's a medical term for God's sake!

Sometimes Trophy quality is better than the quantity too
^ This. I'd say a hard plat like Wipeout is worth 10 easy plats, but obviously a trophy card doesn't reflect that. Ultimately trophies mean different things to different people and there's no right or wrong answer.
Check out Extreme Golf or Shepherd for the iPhone.

Neither means anything other than as an indicator of what that person likes and plays and even then, as has been said, it doesn't show if someone replays a game over and over and doesn't go for trophies.
I actually like trophies, they give me new goals to hunt for and open up new ways of looking at games, but I only bother trying for trophies in games I like.
I also actually compare my trophies to people I meet online sometimes, not really to compare the actual trophies, but it tells me what games they play and from that I can get an idea of what sort of gamer they are.
