Anybody would think we weren't asking for answers on the official forum. nearly another week and still no official word.

It's a big thing to fix. Give them time GPS, Skyhook and software for them are enormously complex! Even though it just looks like a bunch of buttons and a map, it's very complicated round the back!

As I reported on another thread, I managed to fix my 'error occurred' issue with near. Would like to know if I just go lucky or if it actually fixes it for others as well.

I really didn't fancy resetting to factory defaults my Vita and so did the following, which happened to work for me:

Power off Vita

Remove the Memory Card & Game card (was playing Uncharted)

Reboot Vita.

Update Near (unsure if this is actually necessary, I'd just done it to see if the error was still there)

Power Off Vita.

Re-insert Memory Card.

Reboot Vita.

Near was then fully functional again. Curious to see if anyone else manages to fix their problem following this procedure.

i tried that method and it didn't work for me but i am in Germany.

Maybe it depends on the region.

Still, very annoying that it was only working for like a week in the beginning and after that, it stopped working.

I tried this with no luck. Near was one of the main reasons that convinced me to get Vita and I'm sick tired of backing up and then restoring 20Gb (to preserve saves) every time i wish to use Near.
