PlayTV

I bought and setup my PlayTV today.

When I scan for channels I only get Nine/Go/Gem and TVS, nothing else.

I'm in Sydney and my reception is fine, crystal clear.

I tried changing regions from Australia to Other, but that didn't work.

I have checked the connection, all looks fine.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling. I even returned it and got a new one but am having the same problem!

So frustrating! Can anyone help please? I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I live in an apartment block if thats any help. The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with the aerial. But like I said my reception is 100% when watching TV normally.

Have you had any luck with scanning more channels?  I'm in Sydney too and have great reception but can't get SBS at all.

Hi trewise, I have just found another thread re fixing problems and this is the trick below (I just re set again to NSW)

'Just happened to me, change your location in the PlayTV software to other then it will work..'

By software I assume that means changing your location in the setup phase of PlayTV from other to NSW (or vica versa). I have tried this already and it still doesn't work.

So frustrating. No one has been able to help.

Today I tried my PlayTv on my brothers and it pickep up all the TV stations and Radio stations, so I know it's not the PlayTV or the connection. It has to be the aerial. But what?

The other thing I have noticed is that sometimes on the TV Guide section, some channels have info (programs coming up etc) but other channels have no info?

Any other ideas guys?

Just because the signal is sufficient for the TV you may need a signal booster for the PlayTV to find all the channels.

ok, so i bought a signal booster and that didn't work either. I still only get the 4 channels - nine, go and gem and tvs.  Any other ideas guys?

i cant get channel 7 channels!!! everything else works fine. *****.
