Hi fellow Forum lurkers,

This thread is aimed towards being a central position for imporovements that we would all like to see intergrated into PlayTV. One would hope that having all the opinions centralised like this on an official forum would get someones attention.

Lets try and control the complaints and keep this fairly focused on one question:

"If you could, what would you add functionality wise to the PlayTV system?"

• Some form of auto delete functionality 

-Some system that we can "choose" to allow a program to be overwritten once finished watching it.

• Allocation of HDMI control

-Set entire console to turn off with an HDMI enables television, much like the PS3 already does if it is in the XMB menu.

-This is seriously something that should have been there by now, I'm assuming there is something stopping Sony from integrating it.

1) Export to XMB when country is set as Australia

2) PS3 firmware update that enables use of NTFS formatted external HDD's

The latter is a long shot...........but hey

- When two timers follow eachother, join the recordings into one file, especially if they are the same program.

Allow us to record more than 10 minutes either side of a program some shows run more than 10 minutes over I think channel 7 is the worst for this

or let us set our own times to record

and a file clipper so when I do record the extra minutes I can clip them off

please explain how.

Support for keyboard. My logitech keyboard only functions once you bring up the ps3 virtual keyboard interface. It would be nice if I could drive playtv functions when I'm using the keyboard.

Setup of favorite searches for auto record so everytime playtv sees something matching in future online schedule it adds it to the recording schedule.

Ability to export recordings off PS3...though I suspect for copyright reasons this will never happen.

Automated software updates and replace that menu slot with a useful feature. ie. Given you can't downgrade the software why not always auto update to the latest like most game titles do when you go online.

Have a setting which adds a few minutes buffer to any recording selected from the schedule. Some stations just don't manage to stick exectly to their published program schedule.

Ability to recomend an item from the program schedule to someone on your friends list.
