Here is a weird one, I have put in a 320gb hdd because I had a bad beak ups and stuttering with my 500gb hdd, seems to have fixed must of the problems but recently I am getting weird things happening on C4, like it playing slow then normal speed, really bad stuttering almost unwatchable, but TV3 is fine and all the other channels. I have reinstalled and rescanned quite a few times yet C4 keeps on stuttering. I have 100% signal on all bands, I have put on attenuators and bought the signal down to about 85% but no help.

Any ideas?

Yeh I noticed this on C4 lastnight as well - I've got the 500GB HDD installed and never had a problem with C4 prior to this and as nothing has changed on the PS3 then I'm at a loss to explain why this is happening.

The stuttering we're seeing is similar to an old DVD player that I used to use for XVID playback - when playing a movie any scenes with a lot of white in it would produce similar results - kinda similar to what was happening lastnight I reckon.

Sounds like there could be problems with C4 not PlayTV, could I suggest you go onto this link http://www.freeviewshop.co.nz/forum/index.php?topic=422.210 this is a great forum on PlayTV and Freeview, would be worth while asking the question. I was watching C4 the other night and it was fine for me?? I assume TV3+ is ok as well??

I put in a Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD5000BEVT 8MB 500GB originally put suffered from lots of pixellation so my original 40gb hdd was a Hitachi so I got a Hitachi Travelstar 320GB 2.5" 8M 7200rpm SATA which cured much of my problems. 

For the last week and a bit I have noticed C4 was getting quite bad, at the beginning it was just a few times but seems to be getting worse. I flicked on my Zinwell the other week to compare and it was stuttering a wee but but not as bad as the ps3. TV3 is fine I thought if C4 was bad TV3 would be as well but it is fine. I recorded Breaking bad last night cause it was too annoying to watch and was watch TV2 at the same time and no stuttering occured at all. But when I flicked to C4 on a commercial break C4 was stuttering badly. All has been good nothing has changed just C4 all other channels are good.

I will check C4 tonight....anyone else having this problem?

I've also had some issues with C4 tonight.

Same problems as reported by foxpnz1.

I'm running a 320 gig hard drive and haven't had any problems up until now.

The problem appears to be worst with fast moving scenes with lots of action etc.

Haven't yet put the zinwell back on to check how it performs as a comparison.

Ok, seems like the problem is with the broadcaster NOT with PlayTV

Not sure if I have had my head berried in the sand but last night noticed on TV1 and TV2 subtitles where working 100% on PlayTV and looked quiet impressive!! has anyone else noticed this? For some reason subtitles do not seem to be working on TV3 and other channels only TV1 and 2?????
