exactly the same as the one that goes into the TV, goes from the wall, into a powered splitter, then into PlayTV. The other thing is, when it starts stuttering, I press Triangle to go to the Main Menu, then go back to watch live tv, no stuttering.....definitely a problem with PlayTV.

No i wasn't, but sometimes i do and i can notice stuttering

The stuttering happens to me to.  It did it a few times during 24 last night.  What I did was go out of viewing back to the liveTV menu and then back in, seemed to resolve it.  It has done it on a recording too.  I did set the buffering hoping that would help, yes it can be very annoying.

Only had the PS3 and playTV for around a month.

Does anyone from Sony monitor these forums? I have this stuttering problem which makes the ps3 unusable for recording. Wonder when they will, fix the problem?

this stuttering is really annoying me now, only happens with Ten & 7, I live in Bundy, so not sure if it only happens on certain frequencies, have to revert back to the old vcr

Can you try using an unpowered splitter for PlayTV? I use this method because the signal was too strong for PlayTV but okay for the digital TV.

I have noticed that my recordings jump and stutter And I fix it a simple but extreme way You see basically the hard drive is just that A laptop hard drive it uses disc And when you record program's and delete program's you're writing and rewriting a lot more than you would on a pc How I fix it and have it smooth as silk again is to format the ps3 hard drive Quick format fixes it abit but not for long So a full format and you'll be back on track also you're ps3 will be as fast as it was new the difference is amazing Doing mine soon it's been jumping recently so I need to get all my saves off and do a full format With a 320gb I have in it Iit estimates 18 and half hours lol
