Hi all,
First off, I just received my imported PlayTV, install went great, and I have to say it is totally amazing - even without the full working epg!
Now for my question - I set up PlayTV to record manually - now that the recording is finished I can't for the life of me work out how to change the title of the recording. All it says is untitled recording or manual recording or something. I guess its ok for one or 2 recordings, but I can imagine how annoying it will be if you have 50 odd recordings that all have the same title!
Any suggestions?
Cheers

Hi Hudds yes that will happen, if you try and record from the EPG on one of the program's that are populated on the EPG the title will be present on the recordings, but if you manual record or use one of the time slots on the EIT EPG with no description the recording will display "untitled" Unil the developers sort out the NZ EPG there is nothing you can do about it.
The other way you can get around it is go to library, press triangle (I think) and go down to something like library display?? And choose "thumb nail" it will then show you a small clip on each recorded title which is quiet handy!!

What if you exported to the XMB, could it be renamed there ??
No that wont work eather, you could export to an external drive (as long as it is not more than 4gb) rename it using a computer but at the moment that would only work with TV3 as there is a wee bug in firmwarer 1.21, if you export from the PlayTV library to the XMB AAC/AAC+ audio is lost. I think the best option at the moment is thumbnail view in the library.

It was probably over looked, just like Australia for PlayTV to be certified Freeview will not allow recordings to be exported to the XMB or to an external drive.......end of story!!

i have been waiting for ages to get playTv here in Australia and now that it is finally coming this november im not want it anymore. if you cant move recorded shows onto a external drive or skip ads that kinda sucks. but on the other hand i wont be able to pick up Tivo for $160 so i probably will get playtv anyway.lol
