PlayTV not fullscreen on larger TV's

I just recently  bought a new 55 Inc TV and have noticed now while watching TV or recorded programs from Play TV on it..there not in full screen..slightly less..like has a skinny black border now all around the picture..

When you jump into the menus its fine there all full screen.. But yeh with the viewing it self its not..

Is this normal on a larger TV?

Can anyone confirm its the same for them as well?

Yeah, noticeable on my 40inch Bravia TV as well. It's been a problem since 1.0. Just another little issue that Sony haven't bothered to fix.

hmm, my 40 inch is fine.

are you sure there isnt a thing in the settings menu to fix it?

on my older TV which was 40 inc it was fine as well..

its only on the 55 Inc that ive noticed it doesnt fill up fully the TV screen.
