Yes, yes, I know what to do. I'm not saying that I cower while the big bad red team storms the home base. What I'm talking about are the instances when no one does anthing about it and because of this, the other team gets a head start in the slaughter by destroying the structures. Though, that seems to be more of a team issue than anything. I've noticed that unlike in Warhawk, one person cannot carry the entire team.

For me I think that's fair. A team plays better = win. A vote system for the loosers to quit early would be alright with me as well. The winning team would have to get some kind of team bonus for making the other team throw in the towel though.

Yeah, I think it's fair to have better teamwork as well. I greatly enjoy a good team. I'm not really talking about each player is good on their own, I mean a team that knows how to work together. I've had issues with my team in the past [especially during capture the flag] because they'll just let someone from the red team just waltz right in.
I respect the team that uses teamwork to tear down the opposing base, however sometimes the methods seem a little sketchy. Hm, I sound bias.

people droping spawn beacons into main base (I did it myself last night. NEVER again.) is partly their fault.

However it wouldn't be hard for the developers to prevent that from happening in both team bases by simply programming it to be locked out of main base areas. It saves the team 4 bulider points, rift, whatever anyone wants to call it.

Anyone else find the update b4 the ladder fix kinda stupid and encouraging base raping 10 times more? Like I can;t even find yself to return to beta because im fed up with base raping. It''s even worse when they are given the right weapons at the begging of the match. You get jetpack dbags flying around blasting you with a shotgun that can kill u from like 10 yards aways, ppl sniping from corners of your base. It's like why bother even spawning when as soon as you land your gonna die and you dont even get to move 5 steps. Starhwak is such  a fun game but there are way too many dbags imo.

I stopped playing because I kept dying withing 10 seconds of exiting the pod.
Now, I have played many games online but Starhawk encourage camping and base-ravaging to an imaginable scale.
My last matches were a campers heaven with unbearable base-raping:
-100 kills limit was reached within 10 minutes, or even less.
- the best player of the opposite team scored 29 kills without dying once (second best player had 27 kills and no deaths too)
- snipers stayed the hole match in the same place, changing spot only yo refill ammo
- 2-3 enemy auto turrets were built inside our the base with someone camping next to them to ensure that nobody could possibly destroy them;
- warhawks were used as ground vehicles to the sole purpose camping and killing players immediately after exiting the pod.
- a second base was built overlooking our base so that snipers, behind shields, coudl kill us better and safely.
- 2 razorbacks were used to raid the base running over players as soon as they were exiting the pod.

- enmy palyers hid inside our bunkers making impossble to take cover in any way. 

- enemy ammo bunkers were made inside our base so that refilling ammo was easier.

To be honest... it sounds like your team werent doing much to stop them? you can crush and kill anyone when youre respawning including hawks, jeeps and turrets? whiy didnt you? you should have had plenty rift to expand a new base and flank them?

What exactly did your team spend their energy building? walls without turrets in random places? nother hawk spawn next to the one at the start? if you were pineed to the base a shield might have helped since youd have been gathering energy all game?

You don't get it: camping was so extreme that lasting more than 20 second was a miracle.
There were 2 razorbacks camping in the base, 2 warhaks doing the same, 5 enemy auto turrets inside our base with campers next to them, snipers safe behind shields and enemy buildings inside our base.
I indeed managed to kill 2 warhawks using my pod, but with the entire enemy team killing us as soon as we get out from our pods there was literally no time for any of us to last long enough to collect rift energy to built a shield.

Surely we coudl have palyed it better but scenes like this happend to me on 3 different games.

It was not a matter of having a bad game or two: it was about camping and base-ravaging as the only effective way to play in TDM.

exactly the guy who replied to you is talking out of his ass(big time) collect riff haaaaaaa how the ***** you do that if you cant live longer than 30 sec  i play starhawk everyday 4 5 hous a day at the begining was not so bad but know people are understanding off how to base rape and its only going to get worse as the game goes on

example how the ***** are you supposed to get out your base when their is 3 guys in merc about 10 turrest evrywere i mean every were their is guys just running people over their are snipers in the high base they spent the last 2 3 mins snipping riffe barrels and built a base with 3 beem guns and fully loaded base you cant even get their in a jet pack you cant even build a jet pack you can not even leave your base TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS IF I PLAY WITH 5 OR 6 GOOD PLAYERS WITH THISI TACCTICS YOU ARE ***** FINSHED YOUR BASE WILL BE RAPED OVER AN OVER AGAIN ESPICALLY THE SPACE MAP SO THOS WHO WANT TO TALK CRAPP GO ***** YOURSELFF AND BE A CAMPER YOU SOB KILLED THE GAME ALREADY YOU FOKERS

 

I TAKES 2 3 GUYS TO BUILD A STRONG BASE I TAKES 2 MERCS A GUY IN A HIGH BASE WITH A SUPPLY BUNKER SPAM WITYH THE RPG AND YOUR BASED IS GONE

 

MY ADVICE IS THIS DONT PLAY WITH ***** PLAYERS PLAY IN MY SERVER NOT MY SERVER BUT I PLAY IN THEIR  CALLED LEGENDS MOST NIGHTS ITS UP BUT ITS TOUGH GOING IN THEIR THO. DO NIOT COME IF YOU ARE NOOB TO THE GAME YOUR ASS WILL BE GONE IN SEC THANKS .REALLY GOOD PLAYERS IN THEIR ALL OVER LEVEL 20 NO BASE RAPEING THIER MATE COME ALONG AND WE SHOW HOW TO PLAY STARHAWK AS A TEAM GAME LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN TEAM GAME TEAM GAME TEAM FOKING GAME YOU IDIOTS
