Bounty system

Hey everybody!

 

I was trying to think of some ideas for how to increase interaction and teamwork between teammates (this is related to my previous tread Here) and I came up with this idea: what if there way a way to place bounties paying rift energy for people to do certain things?

 

Your guy would hold a hand-radio with one hand and point at the reticule with the other. When aimed at any enemy structure, vehicle, or player, you could press R1 to place a bounty on it at the expense of their own rift energy. Bounties would be displayed by a global in-game marker to all teammates, and the next person to destroy said object would be given additional Rift/XP/Score.
I don’t know if it should be a weapon like the repair tool or an ability that you always have like Build-n-Battle system. I’m thinking every tap of R1 would spend 1 Rift energy and place one bounty that gives 50 additional XP/Score and 1 extra Rift upon its destruction. If bounties were stackable then people could spend more Rift to place bigger bounties.

 

 

 

As most players don’t use Mics, this would provide a great way of directing other players nonverbally, encouraging teamwork. It would also allow for players to indicate particularly critical enemies and structures, encouraging teammates to direct their efforts to where they are the most helpful, as well as mark enemies that are particularly deadly.

 


Additionally, since this would not need a reload button, perhaps pressing Square could place a “Help-Me!” bounty on yourself, in a similar manner, that would reward other players for coming to your rescue. This would be similar to my L3 for help idea Here
