Does Melee damage/destroy buildings?

I know I can destroy auto turrets with Melee, but what about the other buildings? When sneaking into a base, I need to fight my way past the heavy defense, which is hard when enemy base had so much up that can destroy me and my team. But I only have three grenades, and it takes all three to destroy a single building. The gun takes far too long. And the rocket is the next best thing, but limited ammo makes it an issue. Is there some way to destroy walls and buildings when no grenades or rockets or vehicles are present?
