Missiles/Rocket laucher

When I started playing the beta the rockets where superb for taking down Hawks and Jetpacks but after a recent update they are practically ineffective at taking them down. I spent a whole match today trying to take Hawks down with the rocket launcher but didn't geta single one. You have gone OTT with changing it and I find it frustrating now.

Yea the RPG sucks since patch 1.1.3, I liked how it was when they increased the splash DMG.. Guess you cant have that because it kills people.. :Stupid:

Issue: No target lock for rocket launcher vs. tank(similar to warhawk)/ground Mech.

 

Suggestion: Make lock on rules for rockets vs. tank/ground mech.

 

                       Have a missile lock on range for tanks at least as long as the tank can shoot.

 

                       If this is done maybe make rockets less affective when locked onto ground mech.

                       If hit with a rocket fired "open sight" rocket deals normal damage to ground mech.

                       Consider a short range lock on for ground mech if rockets are to deal their normal damage.

Can't agree with that. Remember bullets didn't damage tanks in Warhawk either and Hawks were are to hover to avoid lock on's, so that's enough balance. Allows lock on's to there vehicles and the balance would be ruined.

The "canned dodge" has given the Hawks a lot more ability to dodge incoming missile......

WH had the right thing with just the chaff & the boost button to get away it required a little bit of skill rather than just mash the required buttons to evade....

 

As for locking on to tanks & jet bikes lets leave them as they are we see loads of use of the rocket launcher as it is with the lock on ability it'll just get worse & possibly even stop players advancing with vehicles....

i agree no lock on for tanks and bikes wats the damm point being in a tank or a bike in a 32 player map if every few second you get a lock on how about i teach you a a little skill i learned a long time ago think about it fire you rpg to were the vehicle is going to be not were it has left do you not understand how to use anticipation to be able to have an idea were the target is going to be is the best place to fire your rpg trust me goo practice than come back and say iff you want a lock on insanity

as for the hawks and the missiles all we need is a fine mozart soundtrack and we can dance the tango all nite its stupid its ridiculous its been dumb down for real pilots and noob pilots who just flap a stick any direction( i played warhawk just to see the diffrence and boy in warhawk its a real dogfight) but again im learning the new mechanics but im not going to cry about it soon very soon im shooting every damm hawk out the sky!!!!!
