Picture this. You're spawning and theres enemies camping everywhere in your base. It's up to you to stop the flag from getting away.. (Possibly be a skill or a global ability) Double tap R2 as you're dropping down in your pod (burning blue) just for that little bit of extra time you can shave.. and or land on someone. Say drop down 15 -20 % faster? That and it would just look awesome.... What do you guys think? I love how fast paced the gameplay is.. but this would give it an even sharper edge.

Good idea.
Personally I'd rather it was just holding R2 to boost as many times as you want during the fall with limited movement while boosting. So for instance, if you were in Space and you pressed R2 all the way down you would not be able to make it to the 3 rift barrels on the higher level.

spawn boosting? I like it! This would solve the problem of people knowing where you are landing all the time. This idea reminds me of the TOW missile in warhawk; the faster you excelerated, the more difficult it bec ame to steer to the target you were trying to hit.

I beleive if you press R3 while spawning you gain a slight boost and it minimizes your movement. Try it.

I tried it last night and yeah it does seem to go a little faster.. Personally I'd like the button swapped from R3 to R2.. I would like to see this boost amplified and a noticable difference in animation. The only way you can tell anything is happening is a little vibration in the controller. Still, thanks for the tip!

i like the idea hold R2 speed drop in. few time just gettin spawn raped just wanna get back in asap b4 hawk takes off to heal. also times line up the pod crush but last second enemy moves an inch n avoids it but spped boost makes last seconds 2 seconds earlyer. squishy squishy
