I know it's strategy or whatever, but I think it can be way to hard to take the flag, when the ladders are facing the flag. You can get in easily but getting out is pretty much impossible.

Yes. That's the point.

Problem: 32 building limit on Dust is far far to low. It isn't fun to play on that map b/c after the first few minutes the buildings are all used up and it is impossible to establish any sort of forward base. Teammates build faster than I can tear down! walls and turrets seem to be the main culprets here.
Suggestion: at least double the building limit on dust. This is essential for this map to be fun at all. Have an option where the creator of the game can set a limit on the number of individual buildings (ie no more than 12 turrets, 3 hawk pads, 6 walls - etc, or even just an overall limit: no more than 8 of any one structure type)

I was going to make a new thread asking about the general opinion of the lack of pre-build, indestructible spawn locations but decided not to bother and will instead just state it in a post lacking the explanation I intended. Regardless, the lack of pre-built spawns similar to Warhawk is simply too big of an issue for me. The flow of the gameplay is interrupted too much by it as far as I'm concerned and as somebody who initially enjoyed the build and battle system I now feel it's detrimental to the gameplay and there is a core problem with how it's been implemented.

I agree. B&B works really well as a gameplay mechanic and, in terms of how you use it, I love it!
But in terms of design, map and game, the B&B system becomes a hinderance rather than being helpful. On smaller maps, this isn't really an issue, but on large maps it will be very distracting.
Starhawk is a great game, please don't limit it.

I would vote for a build limit of 16-20 building at home base just to push for more attacking gameplay
especially on dust!
ALSO I think Some of the Strategic pre-builds should be looked at....on space there is no reason to have 2 snipe towers and 2 jetpack spawn side by side, these are the kind of things we want to avoid =P, the walls and turrets are fine tho since they make sense.
FINALLY: I find the 3 wall flag barrier very frustrating, even when my team does it...When the other team does it it's fine because I can simply destroy them via rockets mines towpedos etc...Then when i get the flag to my base, obviously my team has the same wall blockade going around my flag and it takes ages to get in since they had ladders on the inside i couldn't even reclaim....I suggest make walls unable to box of on each other, I think it detracts from the gameplay, offensively and deffensively....

JUST an IDEA to run by the Forum:
about 16 units for the home base would be fair...
Also... for large maps like dust.
there should be 1-3 Permanent spawn beacons/bases that are captured using classic WH method.
Which is standing within a certain distance of beacon and eventually gaining spawn controll of that area...
These bases should be in the center of the map, and perhaps 1 slightly toward ur own territory and one slightly towards enemy territory.
Once that beacon is capture, it should allow for 3 bonus structure to be build in that AREA ONLY, without adding to total building count...this would promote teams to push forward, and be more aggressive on larger maps.
BONUS FUN: I think it would be cool if when the other team completely takes control of that zone all ally structures within (3+ building bonus raduis) gets destroyed. Thus this will promote using the bonus bases but not allow the team to make a super base..Just imagine the fun.
final point: Spawn beacons will still be use just as effectively, but they would be more to build further outposts or ambush outposts

Building spawn error :-
Snapped this whilst Martok- was playing. He dropped a beam turret in his own base at the same time someone next to him dropped an energy shield to ade in protecting the flag carrier. The beam turret slammed down as usual but vanished after it had finished constructing. Martok- was able to use the control panel to remove it and rebuild with no problem.
