One last point, i've been very surprised on some of the players that have been invited to test.I know dozens of top quality, regular Warhawkers that have not been invited to test.To make Starhawk work correctly everybody needs to play as a team, the game would be far less dis-jointed with the warhawk community on board.Although i think a lot changes need to be made before this game will a success. Good luck with this one lightbox/sony, your gonna need it!!
Not every person who played WH could be given a place in the Beta to test it..
It does'nt matter how much they still play it or how good you or they think they are....
Now i'm not sure of the criteria that LBi/Sony used to choose the ppl they did for the Private Beta but you could'nt have all top ranking ex-WH players as IMO you would'nt get a ballanced view as a lot of the top rankers prefere to fly a hell of a lot so all they would want is a carbon copy of the WH.......
And we're seeing that in the forums it should be more like the Warhawk in this & that......
We keep being told this is a proper BETA & your views count & for that to work LBi have selected a wide range of players of all abilitys to test there game.....
One last point!!!!!
Its funny how many gamers are coming out of the wood work with very new profiles to comment on this game!!!!
If I was a cynical person i'd say they did'nt want to use there main profile to put down this game!!!!
Thats if I were cynical.....

I'm unfortunately a casual gamer through having a job and children leaving only a couple hours of down time in the eve. So Warhawk was perfect for such gamers as there was somehow a balance in combat, sure I didn't stand a chance against the experts in Hawks but that trusty tank would always keep me safe for a few minutes. So far this game seems just "busy" I'm seeing the strategies unfold and the need for team work but first you gotta find some people willing to work together and then hope that the other team doesn't work to well together because once your pinned the game just sucks. The Hawks seem sluggish and surprisingly not that effective same with the Razor its easiest just to run people over the gun on the back doesn't do enough damage compared to all the turrets, laser beams and other busy fireworks coming from who knows where now that I've mastered the dash and knife technique my knife kill numbers are creeping up on the other weapons as its just that effective, I'm not sure that's right in a shooting game, I hope some balance can be made there is a ton of potential for a great game but it might be border line "really frustrating game" I've come out of a lot of games with the feeling of accomplishing nothing, that didn't happen too often in Warhawk.

Why did LBInt leave that middle "base" thing out in Acid sea which was in the middle of the map. It can be seen in the video which was artist vs devs at 1:15. Right now I don't feel that the middle has anything to offer so that foundation for base would increase its usefulness and actually give a better reason to build something up there. Don't ya think so too?

I've really got into the game now, it just took a while to get used to everything. I especially love the music in the game; that countdown track gets me so psyched and it really encourages you to just go for it in the final moments.
Now teams are also working together a bit more, making use of the Pod Beacons and strengthening outposts rather than just building a s**tload of walls round the basecamp.
