Yeah, i agree with middlebase thang,i'd take it a step further....... have pod beacons around the map that both teams can capture, like warhawk but not pre-built,the defending team could use build mech to help retain each base.Warhawk,BF3 and Cod type games all have bases to capture, this gives the novice/low skill players a reason to get out of home base or even enjoy a game.At the moment its Hawkers V Defenders and theres only going to be one winner, Hawks were dominant in Warhawk and i can't see any change. You can see already in starhawk that the vast majority of beta players are new to TPS styled games.A game starts and i go for a hawk, almost every game i've played the rest of the team build a base and don't move from that area, pointless! Get in a HAWK people! You can build and Defend while your in a HAWK! if 50% of players did that it would be a good game,as it is, i'm fed up Ground pounding noobs already, lol Warhawkers will rule Starhawk ! IF they play it!

It's getting quite addictive now!
Had a great TDM yesterday on Acid Sea which resulted in an EPIC king-of-the-hill situation. Our team had set up shop on the centre ridge, with some Laser Turrets and a Force Field. Meanwhile, the opposing team was trying to push up the road to us, building random walls and turrets in order to cover their advance.
Every time a wall or turret was destroyed, someone else would replace it straight away lol!
So in the end, I sat in one of the Laser Turrets and was frantically trying to nuke these never-ending structures while their guys swarmed further and further up towards us. It was just a great match, with the bulk of each team working together.

A liitle niggly thing here in my opinion, after a game ends why is the intermission so long? cant it just be 30 seconds because when a game ends i be itching to get straight back in and it just feels quite long, maybe i'm nit picking, just a suggestion is all.

You can do that already. In the settings as you set up a game.

Yeah, I think they should make the advanced settings a bit more prominent.
I think a lot of people don't realise that you can up the TDM score/time limits aswell.

I agree about 16 unit for the home base would be fair...
Also... for large maps like dust.
there should be 1-3 Permanent spawn becons/bases that are captured using classic WH method.
Which is standing within a certain distance of beacon and eventually gaining spawn controll of that area...
These bases should be in the center of the map, and perhaps 1 slightly toward ur own territory and one slightly towards enemy territory.
Once that beacon is capture, it should allow for 3 bonus structure to be build in that AREA ONLY, without adding to total building count...this would promote teams to push forward, and be more aggressive on larger maps.
BONUS FUN: I think it would be cool if when the other team completely takes control of that zone all ally structures within (3+ building bonus raduis) gets destroyed. Thus this will promote using the bonus bases but not allow the team to make a super base..Just imagine the fun.
final point: Spawn beacons will still be use just as effectively, but they would be more to build further outposts or ambush outposts

sincerely the game was much better before the last patch, now is turning into a "mod" of warhawk, now we have less space to build, more indestructible things, much more accuracy, we have that fool menu (triangle) in EVERY WHERE, that make all the game look like an tutorial, well I didn't like the changes, and I don't like the changes that are you suggesting, the game was much better before
and the boost of hawk look the same of warhawk

@ fabioBAKA - Nah, the game gets better with every update and not the other way around.
Warhawk is the best online game and Starhawk will be even better, if it takes all the good Warhawk elements and adds the B&B feature as a something new to it.
There are still many changes and tweaks needed, especially for the B&B, but this game has a huge potential, if balanced well.
Less space for building? Yeah, that DUST map is really tiny, I couldn't place even 2 sniper towers there ^^
You can't be serious man!! It's the exact opposite, so much free space, but nothing to build due to the B&B limit. This is the most talked about topic now and you posted such nonsence.
The ''fool'' menu fits in the game just well. It's just highlighted, so it's obvious, where the control panel on each structure is. I don't see anything wrong with it. It doesn't get in the way of my game at all.
It doesn't matter, if the boost of the hawks looks just like in Warhawk. What matters, is its functionality.
