This is a reminder that we have regularly scheduled downtime for Starhawk Beta. Today at 8pm (UK Time) there will be an update today and the changes will be:
--- New XP values are now being used for various awards & actions.
--- SkillScore should more accurately reflect player skill.
--- Homing Missile and Rocket no longer immediately stop locking-on when target is obstructed.
--- Minimum player count required to start a game has been reduced to 6.

Today's 1.0.3 update for the Starhawk Private BETA was deployed during the scheduled server maintenance and contained the following changes:
'Create Game' now supports player caps of 8 and 16.
EULA updated to avoid confusion about public discussion.
We realised that a lot of players are still getting familiar with the game so we have decided to provide you the option to setup games with a player cap of 8 instead of all games being locked to 16.
REMINDER: players in all territories are free to publicly discuss the Starhawk Private BETA, post videos, etc. We apologise for any confusion on the matter and the SONY attorneys have modified the EULA to make sure that it accommodates free and open public discussion!

Today's 1.0.4 Starhawk BETA Update Includes:
--- Increased Hawk flight speeds.
--- Removed Hawk impact damage (except for multiple impacts).
--- Increased blast damage for Grenade and Prox Mine.
--- Added in-world display for flag return radius.
--- Increased damage of various weapons vs. Auto-turrets.
--- Increased the rate at which carried flags accrue return-time.
--- Added 60-Second "Flag-in-Play" time extension to CTF.

A little more to add to this from Lightbox...
Many of these changes were in response to community feedback and we will continue to monitor the forums and our combat analytics to guide the changes we make to the Starhawk Private BETA. Please also know that our team here at LightBox Interactive is currently working on a larger 1.1 release that includes a few major changes that are outside the scope of our daily updates.
We'll keep you posted!

Today's 1.0.5 update for the Starhawk Private BETA was deployed during the usual server maintenance periodand contained the following changes:
Reduced Shotgun effectiveness at long range.
Removed Shotgun projectile bounce on impact.
Significantly increased range of Kinetic Rifle.
These updates were to help address the common feeling among players that the Shotgun was too powerful. The new longer range on the Kinetic Rifle should improve its effectiveness when you consider the following 3 points:
1.Targets can now be engaged at twice the range with the Kinetic Rifle which makes damaging Troops, Auto-Turrets and Vehicles more effective.
2.When burst firing the Kinetic Rifle, the first round of each burst *ALWAYS* is dead-center and does not scatter.
3.Kinetic Rifle shots to a target's head do more damage than body shots.
As always, the team at LightBox Interactive will continue to monitor player feedback on all the various forums as well as monitor the combat analytics for additional game-balance changes that may be required.
