I was up against a mech yesterday with nowhere to hide.
I thought I'd run under him. I was sure to be safe there. However, not only are they virtually indestructable with an array of devistating weapons but they can stamp on you too ![]()
As others have said, you need to atleast be able to lock on to them with a rocket launcher while they are on the ground, in the same way that you could lock on to a hovering Warhawk.
I also think that they should have to exit the mech to build otherwise the mech will not so much be seen as a vehicle but an outfit that should be worn at all times.

I had a couple of kills with straight head shots one shot one killNow I dont know if its head shots take one round & body shots take two
or the two I killed might of already had damage done to them ........
I can say for definate, the sniper is a one shot kill if you hit the head. I've done it dossens of times on people i know have no damage, cause they just came out a pod 5 seconds earlier. But its 2 shots for the body.
I see no problem with that, stops no scopers getting 1 shot kills, and leaves the 1 shot kills to the people who actually aim at the head.![]()

[SUGGESTION / ISSUE]
Name of weapon: Knife
Problem: Its too slow.
Suggestions to improve the feel of the weapon: Remove the auto aim that guides you to your target, and make an R3 click just swipe the knife in front of you, instantly.
To many times have i come face to face with an enemy, knifed them, then find out they also pressed R3 within the last few seconds so I end up dieing too. It just doesnt feel right.

[Suggestion]
When you use the sniper rifle it zooms into the fartherst point, can this be changed so that it only zooms in a bit and then you press the zoom again to go in further?
I usually find i have to zoom out and back in to find the person i want to pick off, by that time someone else takes me down cause of the laser giving my position away.

Does anyone else think the sniper rifle is a tad underpowered at the moment?
I mean sure, 2 hit kills are fine in my book as alot of shooters have this anyway. But, to then signal our position with a red laser on top of this is a tad unfair....
I wouldn't mind if it was just 2-hit kill without a laser, or a 1-hit kill with a laser, but too have both the laser and the two hit kill is a tad underpowered in a game where a hawk can kill a sniper easily.

Completely agree with this, the way the knife auto aims just feels clumsy and slow. I think a quick swipe that does NOT lock on would be great, this way it would be a weapon that actually takes a bit of skill to use rather than it being a panic button for noobs (a la Call of Duty lunge knifing). As a general rule, lunge knifing in any shooter = bad, it leads to a lot of raging.
eg: ''how the eff did he kill me?! I unloaded a full clip into him but he clicked R3 and I got stuck in his lunging animation so he killed me anyway!''

I've heard it is one hit if you get them in the head.
Laser i'm not sure about, it's helped me dodge a couple of close calls, so i do appreciate that but on the otherhand i can understand the frustration.

or you could just practice with the launcher. I've taken out dozens of mechs with no auto lock.
