Red Dead Redemption

I was playing multiplayer tonight, I switched to normal game and now it crashes loading up both modes of gameplay...I reinstalled data and DLC, but not game saves, crashes on loading...tried other PS3 games no problem...

What is going on?

well I dunno ***** was going on there, I copied game saves to USB stick, the options/profile etc and multiplayer, I reloaded the game all fine, it started with exodus, so I quit out. I delete save exodus and left the game options and multiplayer saves (new) on there as that will not affect my single player campaign, all my options and multiplayer stats will still be shown as they recorded online. I put back on my Gunslingers tragedy save and we shall be together in paradise save and it reloaded fine, so something got corrupted eh? the multiplayer or game options/Profile? but that doesnt matter as it creates the same data only new, the game saves I replaced are working and its loading again..phew! Sorry to bother you y'all

I had this EXACT problem. I done exactly what he said on about copying to a USB drive then deleting stuff. I then reloaded the game and it worked. So I one by one put my back-ups back in to my PS3 and loaded it to see what made it crash. I believe now that the file that was corrupt and crashing it was the Game Options file. It was the only one of my original files that I backed up that - when put back on my PS3 would make the load freezing problem return.

So to save time for everyone. Try just deleting your Game Options file and loading up your game to see what happens.
