When knights were bold

and VItas weren't invented

They'd have a punt

At a dragon hunt

Thus boredom was prevented

Now dragons breathe fire

and toasting a Sire

was certainly not allowed

So rather than attack

they'd throw their heads back

and aim fire towards a cloud

being bullied like this

really took the p*ss

and cause the dragons to cry

But with each sword strike

The knights knew what it was like

As we walk, daddy tells me tales of when he was young, “before they came”. Things called flowers grew from the soil, grass grew next to the trees. Leaves grew on their branches. The sky was the same colour as my eyes he says, that’s why he named me Skye. I close my eyes and imagine it. Picture it , as we walk beneath the Burning sky.

What does it mean, to walk beneath a burning sky?

For centuries man has walked in the footsteps of his forefathers. He has carried their beliefs and their prejudices upon his lapel, not because they are his, but because he is afraid of what will happen if he didn't. But there comes a time, when one man will say no to carrying his fathers legacy. That one man will suffer for his beliefs as his world collapses and burns around him but he perseveres through the hardship. That one man's footsteps leaves a trail in the ashes that is followed by many more. In time the trail is no longer harsh but well worn and bears the footsteps of everyone no longer weighed down by their forefathers. To walk beneath a burning sky, is to say no to the norms and change the world for the better, even though it seems the heavens are against you.
