Re: RFOM2 my beta review

I see why people hate it so much but I personally like it. I do agree with the bit on the wraith, it should feel like a BFG.

Getting into a game was fairly simple, but thats when it just goes wrong. The co-op is way to simple with the three class system - solider, medic and special ops. Soldiers just shoot with a minigun, the medic just heals people and the special ops guy just gives people ammo. But thats all you keep doing in each class. Wrong. there are more classes in the full game and the special ops can go around killing people, i think the medic can also kill people but i'm yet to play with him. Also if you read the unit description it tells you what each unit role on the battlefield is, to win in this game you all can't be assualting the enemy. There is abit of tatics involved in the Co-op game and if mindless shooting is what you like then this game isn't gor you. And after completing the mission I was totally bored.

There was little innovation in the map of an it felt poorly designed. The Chimera would just stand waiting to be shoot i was often shot before even noticed them so that statment is wrong. the only times they did that was when they hadn't seen me. until they actually got shoot they then just side stepped. It would take half a clip with rifle to kill one standard chimera foot solider, but a few hits and you would be dead thats where a medic and special ops come in. There was no proper cover to hide behind in the level just random rocks i don't what game you where playing but i found many good places to hide that even helped me get behind enemy lines and what with the heavier Chimera solider equipped with a weapon that could blast through anything maybe you should step back a little from the cover that way you aren't caught in the guns blast radius, you would get hit and have little to no health left to fight Medic would be handy right about now. I now team work is key but thats all it is. You shoot, you die and then hope that some revives you and then you just repeat maybe you should improve your skills instead of moaning. It was made even worse when the Chimera just respawn behind your team and a few people get killed, the team then struggles with little to no cover to attack back never noticed that so can't comment. I found myself running for cover and hiding when all the team got wiped out because if I went down the mission would be failed. Not a thing you want to be doing again and again. Get yourself a better team while playing we very rarley had less than 3 people alive at any single time

Then there's the poor feeling weapons, there's no feel from the different weapons. The minigun should have this heavy bulky feel that it can obliterate anything. i've only played in co-op where the guns are purposly under powered so can't comment. Not the case. The battle rifle (sorry I don't no the names) is the same and it just lack this feel to it i can coment on this. the battle rifle feels like a ***** beast nothing like the mini gun Compared to Half Life 2 machine gun it is rubbish and thats an old game. Which brings me down to the larger Chimera creature that comes through the portal. No ground shake and no raaaaawwwww! funny cause at one point my camera was all over the place but your right there should be roaring.

All in all it leaves me with a biter taste. There's no atmosphere thats true but its a ***** fun game to play compared to games like Bioshock and Half Life 2 and this kills it. When I play a game I want to be drawn in or just enjoy the gameplay and this beta fails on both of those for you maybe but i enjoyed playing it. As for the online gameplay its just tacky. Things have moved on from launch pads and rough animations yet to play the actual MP. I thought that COD4 would have been a good example to Insomanic.

Is it a literacy or a cognitive problem you have? As you seem to have no innate ability to see what others are saying. Perhaps its a heredity issue, are your parents thick also? If not, i suggest they have a paternity test, you might have been switched in the hospital by some chimps.

On the issue of using certain functions of this forum, use the search function. Its the red button at the top left of the screen use it to search my postings, read my postings (get an adult to help you with the reading part) and you will see i have made quite a lot of quoting in my time.
