Hi all,

I really enjoyed Resistance: Fall of Man.  It was nice to play a game with a decent story and many hours of singleplayer gameplay.  It certainly wasn't skimpy on content.  I also enjoyed the variety of the weapons and their novel uses.  The graphics were good if a little shabby in places (low res textures) but technically it was impressive.  Smooth framerates with a lot going on.  40 player online, lag free with some good MP modes. 

I know a lot of people didn't like the original game and I can't understand it.  Really seems to be a Marmite (love / hate) game.  Having read a few reviews on Resistance 2, it sounds like it has improved significantly in many areas.  I have a feeling that a lot of people will skip it based on the fact that they didn't like Resistance 1.  A lot of people didn't think a lot of Killzone 1 but I bet they're willing to give Killzone 2 a chance!

I hope that Insomniac bring out a demo of Resistance 2 to convert those not keen on the original. I haven't played the beta but I'm pretty certain based on the fact I liked the first one and that it's getting good reviews that I'll like it.

I'd also be interested to hear reasons why those didn't like the first one, if you care to share them   Are there any that have been converted by the beta?

Same, i loved it, and personally think its the most fun ive had on the ps3.

Ifound it was great too, but I think alot of people didn't like it since it started very slow.I found this as well I didn't like it at the start to whenI got into it, it was great game

RFOM has to be the best FPS ever made imo, and it certainly deserved alot more credit than it received. I'd still say RFOM was better than R2 (minus R2's controls), Insomniac got alot of things spot on such as the party mode etc.

I really enjoyed playing R1, albeit the game was a little foreign to me.. shooting Chimera for a good 10 secs before they die was something i werent used to.

But co-op REALLY shone for me, really great gameplay and alot more fun.

R2 is just NUTZ... still playing the beta and it has come leaps and bounds since the 1st.

im playing the R2 beta but my gun is naff takes loads of kills to kill anyone and also noticed some people have a red beam coming from there gun, any ideas and hints guys??

Resistance was my first PS3 experience on launch day. At I actually played it for a few months without tiring from it.

I'd never really been into the online side on PS2 so it was a brilliant introduction and got me hooked, so I say Resistance as a bit a landmark for me.

The first was a work of art
so the graphics wearnt COD4
It had a better story, wepons , gameplay
Better online
Loads of ppl gonna disagree with me
But thats my opinion
I love COD4 as much as anything but i reckon restance was better
atl east in single player
O ye i got the R2 better and all i can say thats it gonna be awsome!!

Im with you on this i loved resistance i thought it was a great game i wasnt really interested in fps at all but resistance got me into it contols were good easy and played well i will be buy resistance 2
