I keep doing that, currently Ive got Thunder Cats, first series of biker mice from mars and Bucky O'hare on DVD.

I've also ordered ReBoot from america.

I love watching the old cartoons i use to watch when i was younger.

It doesn't sound all that bad. I think they nailed Garterbelts voice perfectly.

I think I'll always have a soft spot for old cartoons like Freakazoid and The Street Sharks, I mean old shows like those are my goddamn childhood right there!

Ahhhh, FMP FUMOFFU....  The hotsprings ep in that is particularly LOLworthy.

The hotspring one was the one I got, I really enjoyed it. I feel kind of conned in the long run though because I paid £20 for the other 3 volumes whereas I only paid £2 for it on PLAY.com.

Summer is looking kind of bland for decent anime actually aswell.

Has anyone been watching Legend of Korra? Its actually pretty amazing. Its almost nearing the end of its season and I've got to hand it to the guys who made it. they have done a fine job. I really wish more western animation companys would take note and make more shows with deeper plots to them than "Herp Derp, the bad guy is bad! Derp".

I've been scrolling through PLAY.com again and I noticed they have a lot of Dragon Ball Z boxsets coming out in the next few months or so. You get like 40 episodes per boxset it seems which is a good plan because lets face it, later on bugger all happens half the time except screaming at each other.

40 eps?  Dang, that's a pretty fair deal...... 

Still, it kinda amazes me that they're still selling (or trying to) DBZ.  :/  It's such an old series... and like you say, it's 50% muslce dudes screaming and 'powering up'......  It's actually kinda sad if it sells better than modern anime with good storylines etc.

Its the nostalgia factor in my opinion, I used to watch it all the time when I was younger and I'm sure a lot of other people did too. Coming home from school and watching Dragon Ball Z on Toonami was definately a highlight of my childhood.

I don't think any other series has made the same impact on the industry like DBZ has though with the exception of maybe Neon Genisis Evangelion or Transformers.
