I think the problem is that alot of western RPG's get greater advertisement these days than Japanese RPG's do.

For quite a while, JRPG's don't advertise their games, and then they wonder why no one buys them, because people don't know about them.

When the PS2 came out, games like Shadow Hearts and Rogue Galaxy were never advertised. I never got the chance to play Shadow Hearts, and I wished I did because people say it is an amazing game.

I have the luck to play Rogue Galaxy now, and I have to say, it is a really fun game. But never got the attention it deserved.

Re: Do You Think The Tide Has Turned?

you know Japanese devs make me laugh they say that western gamers don't like jrpgs anymore because the like big muscle bound characters, but I disagree i don't really care what my character look like as long as they have a good story behind them and jrpg main characters are usually the same effeminate male and this wouldn't be a problem but THEY ARE ALL THE SAME, its like Japanese devs are still stuck in the late 90's
