Re: Dragon’s Dogma

It sold 1 million copies O_o that's impressive for a new IP. Still on the fence myself whether to get it but looks like most people or 1 million of them enjoyed it. We need more good new IP's like this that sell well instead of generic FPS like COD and green pigs and angry birds

Re: Dragon’s Dogma

If you like action RPGs (with the emphasis on action) you should...although there's no disadvantage to waiting for a price drop...

Could the UR-Dragon being at gen-200 ish be a disadvantage (or does it go back to 1 ever). Was fighting it last night and thinking how nice gen-1 must have been!

Re: Dragon’s Dogma

The UR dragon oscillates between hard and easy I guess, as the next generation counter-balances how hard the previous generation was. Or you can fight it offline for a much easier fight.

Re: Dragon’s Dogma

Well I enjoyed skyrim if that counts for anything mainly because it was fun and you have an open world to interact with people and explore collecting new stuff but also because it wasn't too hard i.e. changing difficulty - only as I'm new to the RPG (I used to be mainly shooters -_-) and I'm slowly making my way into RPG

Re: Dragon’s Dogma

Just had an interesting battle doing griffins bane. The first time I did it I killed the griffin outside the city after it came down to the bait. This time it flew off to bluemoon tower, where I lost my main pawn and infinistacia off the edge.

I find it cool how you can do the same quest and have different outcomes unexpectedly.

Re: Dragon’s Dogma

Yeah, same happened to me - I owned it all to hell first time, and second time I had to trek all the way to the tower.

R.I.P Infinistacia :smileysad:

That tower is a death trap for pawns though...

Re: Dragon’s Dogma

Tell me about it, far too many drops to get knocked off. On this play through I've only met 1 chimera but in my first playthrough I saw loads that I didn't fight cause was focused on getting somewhere. Now that I want to kill them for the notice board quest they're nowhere to be found.

Ah I was reading up to see what quests I missed on my first playthrough and read about the griffin ending up at bluemoon tower and thought I'd missed something...I killed it during the bait section outside Gran Soren...I did wonder why when I cleared Blue Moon Tower there was so many locked parts I couldn't get to!

On an aside...I'm trying to kill the offline UR-Dragon before i begin my second playthrough, my main vocation is fighter. Got the blighter down to half a bar, but just cannot get the two hearts on the wings..any tips for hittting these? I changed vocation to strider, even with a bow they seem tricky to hit!
