Re: Mass Effect 3 CE

I preordered Standard edition from HMV (£37.99 with a free tshirt). The CE is too expensive for me. The only reason I would like the CE is for the exclusive character and mission, as that could be additional story etc.. and I think it sucks that only those preordering the expensive edition from a specific retailer (Game) get to see that. It does reek a bit of taking out content from the game purely to try and sell more of the expensive edition. Boo hiss.

I'm most cases, everyone will end up getting that ''exclusive'' stuff months later. It will mostly likely be cheaper to. CE editions are mostly for the hard core fans.

Just recently those BF3 exclusive items to GAME, Amazon & Play.com all made it to the PS Store.

BF3 did not have a CE, it had a Limited Edtion bonus for the price of the standard edition.

Dragon age CE content, that was put on the store would be a better example..

It cost £11.99 for 1 single extra player and his quests.

Yeah, but BF3 had ''LE content  which was exclusive for selected retailers''. Dog tags, early weapon unlocks, new skins. Which the guy above said '' I think it sucks that only those pre-ordering the expensive edition from a specific retailer (Game) get to see that.''

DLC wise, LE, or CE, it will end up on the store. I'm simply saying, no matter which retailer the DLC is exclusive to, in most cases it will end up on the store at some point.

Aye, I do believe it will end up on the store (though hopefully not ridiculously over-priced ala the DA:smileysurprised: extra character!). Will probably end up trading ME:3 when finished then I'll end up getting a GOTY edition with all DLC in a year or so when cheap.

My bigger grievance is the character and mission stuff is probably finished. So its feels a bit like withholding content in order to try and make more money when the content should have just been kept in the original. Aesthetic stuff like costumes, even guns (theres normally always somthing else that'll do the same job there!) I don't care about, its story driven main game stuff.

Still, ya never know, the bonus character and mission may just be a multiplayer thing. Not fussed about that either!

Re: Mass Effect 3 CE

Just seen a sealed copy of FFXIII 2 Crystal Edition on ebay. Bids are over £140 so far. Will probably go for around 150 to 160. May have to start buying two of every Collectors Editions in future. At £60 each you get to keep your own for free and still clear 30 to 40 profit.

Play.com are also stocking it for £69.99.

I cancelled my play.com order and moved it to Amazon for £5 less, but I am a little worried the estimated delivery is 12 - 14 March. I'm hoping I will get it on release.

Yea but its not just a BD with the CE. It will require Parcel type shipping as it wont fit in a letter postage class bag.

Amaon are Also a well known for not shipping till the day before Release day.

Its then up to the Parcel company to make it with in 1 day or arrive on Monday the 11th. (saturday is not included) ( play .com are even slower for me as I live in the wrong post code...)

My laptop power lead for example from Amazon was early it arrived today ( I was out ) . when it was actualy due Tomorrow. So I have to change my route home to collect it now Tomorrow .

Re: Mass Effect 3 CE

Yeah, I suspect it may be Amazon just trying to cover themselves just incase it is late. I've never had any trouble with them before, but it has been quite a while since I pre-ordered anything with them.
