Dear Whom it may concern,
I hope that someone at Sony does take their time and reads this.
So apparently after reading on the Bioware forums of why the Playstation version of Mass Effect 3 doesn't get the operations and rewards of playing Mass Effect 3 is because Sony doesn't approve?
I don't see the business or general reason behind this, this is just making the game less for fun for those playing the game and for myself and has probably forced many to buy the game on a competitors platform, I myself is also looking into that alternative and I wanted to ask for a reason why Sony will not allow one of the most hyped games of this year run its operations on the playstation which in turn will just lower sales or increase sales upon a substitute good.
Thankyou
Loyal Customer of the Sony Playstation
"This Operation is currently available to Xbox 360 and PC users only, and will run from Friday, April 13th at 5PM PST to Monday, April 16th 5AM PST. Unfortunately, we are not yet able to offer our Multiplayer Challenge weekends on PlayStation 3. Sony has not yet approved the promotion. We continue to work with them to find a compromise, but until then, Sony will not allow us to run the same Multiplayer Challenges on the PlayStation 3 that we run on Xbox 360 and PC." - quote sourced from Bioware forums multiplayer discussion

Because the exploit seen on the PC and Xbox 360 popped up in the testing of the feature and of course this wouldn't be allowed to go live until Bioware sorted it out... when Bioware sort it out, then there will be a new round of testing on the feature.
Until Bioware get it right it won't be available and that's a good thing, otherwise you'd be asking "why isnt this patched" instead.

I remember playstation used to take risks on games that no one else would.
I remember developers used to be grateful for that kind of help.
Now, they just hold each other to ransom, and wont risk their brand or reputation on anything, and if that means you make your game generic then thats what you do.
We are even lucky if the odd original japanese game makes it over, what happend monster hunter?

bit dissapointed that ps3 is not part of these mass effect 3 challenge and rewards programme,i too would like to know why sony is supposedly blocking/not allowing these events..
although im probably way off here but i suspect it could have something to do with all the new security sony supposedly installed and how much access a dev is allowed to the psn since the psn outage..
but whatever the answer, sony and ea/bioware need to get something sorted out,not only does it make all companies involved look childish/unprofessional by simply passing the buck to each other instead of explaining the reason behind it,but it also hurts consumers, and if i knew about the lack of ps3 events/multiplayer rewards then i would have probably bought mass effect 3 on a different platform and im sure many more would agree..

Awesome, have several communications open between Sony and Bioware and the information i am looking for gets a response of "wait and see" ....
If you cannot back up the information then don't mention it.
