Mass Effect 3: Trophy Cabinet

[ Edited ]

Hi everyone,

Its time for another Trophy Cabinet!

Basically you answer some questions in this thread and you'll have the chance to see your name up in lights (well in bold at least) on PlayStation.com!!

To see a recent Trophy Cabinet check out the link below!

http://uk.playstation.com/ps3/news/articles/detail/item510857/Trophy-Cabinet-%E2%80%93-Uncharted-Gol...

And here are the questions you need to answer:

  • Did you get the platinum trophy? If you did what are your thoughts & tips?

  • What other trophies were difficult to get?

  • What other trophies do you have tips for & do you have an interesting story about them?

  • Do you have any other trophy hunting tips for other users?

  • And of course, any of your other thoughts, comments or feedback are most welcome!

Don't forget the best comments will be collected and used for a new ME3 Trophy Cabinet!

Re: Mass Effect 3: Trophy Cabinet

Ok, where to start?

I have the Platinum trophy for both Mass Effect 2 & 3. For me, I started the Mass Effect series on the Xbox 360, which I got the full 1200 Gamerscore (including DLC achievements) on Mass Effect. I full completed Mass Effect 2 on the Xbox, but bought it for the PS3 when it was announced that it was being brought to the console. I continued with the series on the PS3. I personally think that the Platinum trophy was easy, but really it depends on how well you handle yourself under pressure, plus if you have the right equipment / powers.

Aside from completing the game on Insanity, the Hardest Difficulty, there are quite a few challenging ones. For example, 1 trophy requires you to either Finish all multiplayer maps on GOLD difficulty, or complete all single player missions on Insanity, the latter is the easiest option (unless you have been lucky in Reinforcement MP Packs and pulled some decent weapons and gear, AND have teammates that know what they’re doing and know how to co-ordinate.

Some trophies require some farming, such as the 5000 Kills, but can easily be earned by playing Multiplayer. Trophies that require you to play as a different class (like the one that requires you to use Overload against 100 shields), again can just be done in MP with the appropriate class (Engineer is preferred).

There are some missable ones to, such as Hijacking an Atlas Mech, aswell as some side missions, and most importantly, the trophy that requires you to deliver most of the ‘Galaxy of War’ assets to the final conflict, so just make sure to do every side mission before the main storyline, as well as talk to everyone and exhaust all options in a conversation (excluding Paragon / Renegade options – they are up to you based on you Character / personal preference). Also bear in mind that there is one online Multiplayer trophy in which an Online Pass is required for.

Overall the Mass Effect 3 Platinum trophy shouldn’t be too much difficult, but it will be a long one; which is of course expected with Role Playing Games, but with that said, it’s worth it.

Did you get the platinum trophy?

Yes

If you did what are your thoughts & tips?

Just keep replaying the game and eventually you will get them all, and the hardcore difficulty isn't really that difficult, just take your time.

What other trophies were difficult to get?

The most difficult for me was (well its not difficult its just a pain) was the  Veteran trophy (5000 kills)

What other trophies do you have tips for & do you have an interesting story about them?

This is the best way to get the Veteran trophy without MP

Do you have any other trophy hunting tips for other users?

Not really just keep replaying the game the Trophies are pretty easy.

And of course, any of your other thoughts, comments or feedback are most welcome!

Keep trying the trophies will come.

Re: Mass Effect 3: Trophy Cabinet

DLC likely messed this up as there are more Trophies now for the DLC...

Which are not covered in this...

Re: Mass Effect 3: Trophy Cabinet

In this case one must say that good things come to those who wait, because the Mass Effect 3 Trophy Cabinet is now live on the PlayStation site and congratulations to LAClennell for getting one of his quotes in the article.

Re: Mass Effect 3: Trophy Cabinet

I'm guessing no one with the plat trophy had the game bug out on them? I was on one of the final missions before Earth and it froze in the same place as my hard playthrough. However this time when I restarted the game, my save was gone and I cba to do all again :\
