The game arrived today and i'm stuck already on the ridiculous world map. I did the misson to fix rainy bridge and now i need to get to  Cafe Chelsey but i haven't got a clue how. I've been playing around with hexes but the ones i have been getting from combat don't seem to do anything. Every aspect of this game is needlesly complicated, all this hassal just to get to the next location. Please help! I like the game, i just don't understand it.

Have you tried rotating the hexes around?

You can definitely get to Cafe Chelsey with the hexes you can get at the beginning. Just play around with them a bit more and you should be able to solve it.

I've only played a bit so far (trying to get the platinum in Star Ocean 4 first XD), but I have noticed that the tutorials I've seen in Resonance of Fate are a bit lacking. Combat is a lot of fun though and slightly reminiscent of Valkyrie Profile.

I have rotated them and put them everywhere i can nothing ever happens. I just don't understand what to do with them. I have read the tutorial 20 times but it is useless it dosen't explain anything.  I never should have bought this game.

I assure you that they do work. You can't unlock all of the locked spaces with the starting hexes, but you can definitely open a path to the Cafe Chelsey.

I am searching for a video or something to help you get your head around it so I'll post again when I find one.

Edit: Not all of the hex grid has to be in the grey "locked out" space.

I have done it.  I understand where to put them now, thank you for trying to help really appreciate it.
