I kinda agree. FFX and FFXIII were weak, and FFXI and FFIV are MMOs so they are uninteresting. But I did enjoy FFXII even though none of the characters really grabbed me. Vaan was the big mistake with that game, Basch should have been the main character.

FFVI is still my favorite FF game with a large margin, though.

Ever since Squaresoft did the merge with Enix, the FF games have gone downhill. It seems like they're just pumping out nonsense nowadays, and are focusing on graphics more than the story and gameplay.

Balthier was supposed to be the main character, which rightfully should have been. But they added Vaan so that, and I quote; "Younger gamers could relate to him." Relate to him? I don't think so. He was dull, a pretty boy, and very rude. So teenage boys are supposed to be like that, now?

I think Balthier was a much better character, despite his age. I think more boys should aspire to be like him, than a street rat.

well after ffix they started to get 9 year old girls to write the plot for the games, you know FFXII would have been a great game only for Vaan and the *****ty plot all games need a strong main character and vaan wasnt that, hell all the leads after nine were terrible, and don't get me started on lighting she was a god awful character who was only slighty less annoying than hope
