First off, have a happy new year everyone. Yes, 17 days in, but still, haven't wished anyone earlier.
A gripe I have with the game in its current state, and after 3 (are they?) patches is this: why the hell does my character stand up when I stick to a wall/object, while I was crouched? Sometimes I sneak around (trust me, works) and suddenly, I need cover to set up the ambush, and when I stick on the object my character stands up automatically - sometimes the object is a bit higher than the character's waist even, so I'm totally exposed. Same happens when I ain't sneaking. I try to get some cover while crouched and BOOM, my character stands up and half-exposed, so I'm an easy target, since it needs some miliseconds before you can press Triangle to crouch.
A simple plea towards Zipper: can you patch this in?? Just make it so that the character sticks to the wall in the stance they had just as they pressed the button. It's really annoying and sometimes gets you killed! And I only highlighted that it's in this state after 3 patches because I thought it was obvious that it needed to be included in one of them. I don't suppose I'm the only one being ticked off by this, and I don't suppose it's something too complex to pull off, like the random headshots before. Thank you all in advance!

NEVER EVER compare Socom to Gears Of War! Please do not go into comparing Socom against any other game. Socom 4 is NOT Socom how it should be, what your playing is MAG 3rd person.

What i am trying to say is just dont even bother comparing a low key game such as gow to a mass franchise like Socom that has been here since the ps2 days. Socom sets the standards for a 3rd person shooter. Just please never compare that **** to socom.
As for the camera collision i dont play socom 4 i play confrontation seeing as the socom II servers have finally been taking offline in the EU.

Unnecessary? Off Topic? Im trying to explain to you why there should be no cover system, why you should compare gow to Socom & why socom4 is not Socom. When you understand this reasons (which you never will as you never played the old socoms) the game was broke from the say it was made. By replacing dpad lean with the cover system it slowed down gameplay and caused more camera collision with walls etc, if dpad lean and classic camera (and i mean right back) then camera collision would not occur. They have fixed the camera collision before but obvisouly hasnt worked.

Please, (you see, I say "please" again, trying to be kind and talk sense) don't make me report the replies as off-topic. I never liked being an a-hole, and I think I haven't been one so far, right? So please, asking it kindly, don't trash the topic, and maybe it'll get some attention from the developers. Your still not on my wave length i guess. Old features, Zipper didn't listen to the community what we wanted. Why would they listen now?
Ive been on this socom board for a number of years now and i can say with 99% reassurance that Zipper dont check the Eu boards, it would be a miracle if they started now.

There are a numerous of community devs on there that will reply to alot of posts, but occasioanlly you wont get a warm reception from alot of the USA players as they are hardcore and pretty much dont like socom4.

Unbreakable I do understand where your comming from and its just lazyness comming from the developers who don't know jack ***** in how to progress features and waited too long and just half assed most of the "new and unwanted" ones.
I can tell you this cover system is as raw as you can get. Crosshairs while in cover mode? Being able to see more camera view while in cover? Being able to on the dot pull out and have 100% exact aim on a target in split seconds? not being able to latch onto cover staying in previous stances? Not being able to move along cover while exposed? Not having a system of hold and release Cover mode? No Blindfire? Not have a Sensitive/Degree of poking out of cover?
man I wish all of these options were available.
Just like how lazy they are in systems like Your Gun Remembers your last Scope setting the previous Rounds.NO OPTION. Your Guy remembers his last stance from last round and spawns like so. NO OPTION. Your Gun remembers the last Firerate it was on.NO OPTION. You can't change your stance while in Sprint.NO OPTION. All of these small features just showes you how lazy they are. My character is only RIght handed, I want to shoot around left handed Objects.No god damn Option. I know very well train soldiers can shoot with both hands due to critical situations they are faced with lefty and righty sits.
LAZY LAZY LAZY. they have been since the start and till now.
