i would like to see socom 1 and 2 rereleased for ps3

If a new SOCOM is ever made it should just be a copy of SOCOM 1 and 2, eg all classic modes, ALL old maps and some new ones thrown into the mix, and possibly more guns/equipment.

No retarded new game modes, No multiple attachments, No flashing objectives, Absolutely no vehicles, Bring back lobbies....and for the love of all things gaming keep it NON-respawn. This would be the best thing I could ask for on PS3

- Uneven rounds is a must as usual with tie breakers

- Dpad lean/ No Cover system

- FPS view as in the earlier socoms with scope zoom

- Classic camera view

- Maps specfic to game modes

- Primary & secondarys (pistols)

- UCRR

- Clans

- No xp system/ Unlock system

- Victory Dances

- Recoiled cross hairs that bounce up and down rather than getting wider

Lol if we are going to list the indiscrepancies of both PS3 SOCOMS I could be here for quite a while! hence my short previous post.

I actually loved Confrontation despite the bugs though, after 1.5 it was a very good game, shame it took a long time for them to fix it because by then many people gave up on it.

I also enjoyed SOCOM4 for what it was, not as a SOCOM game by ANY means....., but as a respawn third person shooter it was decent if you took away the bugs/SOCOM title lol.

Alas I crave the old formula! no respawn and on some good decent maps like Fish hook ,Enowapi and Guidance! hell i even miss Death trap and the Mixer!

Seriously...stop guys, you're gonna make me cry.  I could only hope for a HD version of the first two SOCOM games, the times to be had there were just beyond words.  I haven't plugged in a SOCOM game in a very long time, because it isn't what it used to be.  Honestly, it never would be.Confrontation was alright, and SOCOM 4 is decent, but they don't compare really.  Seeing those last few posts about what an HD version should have brought back a flood of memories, good times and bad, with the online game that I put alot of time, sweat, anger and jubilation into.  Ten years later, I can only sit around and remember the good old days.  Times have changed though...barring nothing less than a miracle, that's all it's going to be now is memories.

Many valid points raised here about Confrontation and S4. I liked both but SOCOM 4 has nothing on Confrontation and is just another CoD/MAG/BF3-style game that doesn't really appeal to me, in comparison to  proper tactical 3rd person shooter, like Confrontation and old SOCOMs.

Socom 5 Convoy Maps!!!  Will bring back alot of Socom Players on PS3. Even the Socom Legend Maps from the beginning Socom 1 & 2 & Combine Assault. If you do bring it back Thanks a Million & the rest of the Fans!!! This game will sell off the shelf nationwide.

I've been playin Socom 4 for a while now and have enjoyed it.  For another Socom I'm into campaign mode however the entire campaign online not just quick missions.  Split screen would be cool too for online or offline.  Sorry Socom 4 may already have this but I just haven't looked into it that much.

I hope the new socom be like the first two too. I agree with that when they made the maps so big and put vehicles in the game that was the beginning of the end. I still played socom but when they made this new one and tried to be like cod and so on... That's when they lost me completely. The lost me and my whole clan and we all played from the beginning. If y'all are reading this please make the game how it was. All we needed was new maps, guns, and better graphics. The game play was perfect.
