Which is a fair point, but I raised mine because people are supporting Arsenal because they are English... which is just stupid imo. I was supporting Barcelona because of the way they play i dont know if your refering to me there, but Arsenal are an English club. if your watching as a neutral, fair enough the fixture was mouth watering, and usually i do watch as a neutral (unless its Newcastle) but when its a final in Europe i will support the English club i showed the same support for middlesboro' even though i dont really like them. any English club which makes it to a cup final in Europe has my support.

My point is, that yes Arsenal are an English club, but to be 'English' to me, they should be fielding more then 2 englishmen... that's just my opinion of course.

yeah i understand, it does bug me that we have so many foriegners, but the chairman/women see their club as a business, and like most business they want to make money not friends so if importing a player wins games and gets money in they 'll do it, its a shame really because there is a lot of talent out there not getting their chance to come up through the ranks.

Yup, but it's the main reason England struggle with International games... if they had more players playing top flight football, they would have a lot more choice for their National team.

Fighting for your place is a good thing imo, and it doesn't happen much for the England players.

England as a football team have never had a better Squad. Truly World Class players on par with Ronaldinho and Henry, such as Rooney, Lampard and Gerrard. And players who haven't got near the squad like Reo-Coker and Etherington, we dropped Shaun Wright Phillips and Defoe for christ sake. I wouldn't say they've struggled either, they've qualified for every major tournament since USA 94, and on all put one occassion got past the group stage. Only one team every four years can win the World Cup. The biggest problem England if they the amount of games English Clubs play in a season, nobody in the World would have played more games than Gerrard this year. If you're English and you're good enough, the big English clubs will pay top money for them, such as Rooney and Walcott.

being good enough doesnt always cut it though, i know what your saying, there are lots of reasons why young players dont always make it, but the kids arent competing against other kids in this country anymore, they are competing against kids all over the world! we do have a good squad this time around, but that could prove to be a disadvantage mentally, England do have a tendancy of becoming complacent and thinking a games already won before kick-off, but fingers crossed the boys will be coming home with a trophy! (plus reebok refund the money i paid for my trainers if they win!)

yes lets talk about cars. Did you know that the USA gets through 20 Million barrels of oil every day, in order to run its over weight, idiot children in and out of school in their Petrol guzzeling SUV's? Did you also know that the average fuel economy of cars in the US has actually dropped (got worse) in the last five years. Completely nullifying any progress every other country has made towards preventing global warming.

But good news. George Dubya Bush, this year has announced that America must do its best to reduce the ammount of oil it is burning. No, not because he wants to save our planet. (apparently global warming is just a myth...) The amount of Oil being used should be reduced in order to stop the USA's "dependance on terrorist nations". God bless America!
