Im not even saying its right, im just saying if zipper wanted to remove this feature they have had SOCOM 1, SOCOM 2, SOCOM 3, SOCOM: Combined Assault, and now SOCOM4 and yet it is still in there.
Its not cheating either its "clever use of game mechanics".
Voting to kick people is necessary, it is abused by some players, thats just the way it is.
Not saying its right but you do say its fine? im confuzzled... ![]()
I think you know its not on, but as you do it so often you have to say its fine.

Now im not saying its cheating as such although if we started defining cheating i think 'cleverly using the games mechanics for a purpose it was not intended for to alter the outcome of the game' would probably have to come somewhere close to it. ![]()
I know its been in SOCOM since the start and no dev has done anything to change it but my point still stands, its wrong to take someones kill away from them if you weren't good/patient enough to still be alive towards the end of the round. Accept the fact your dead and do not try to alter the game for others.
Also it doesn't help the player your warning progress as a player. I learned quite quickly to check my back every so often, its amazing the amount of times you'll catch ppl trying to sneak in for the knife kill.
I know your gona stick to your stance on it and youve convinced yourself its ok lol, n im not here for a forum rant. It doesnt make me angry, i feel sorry for the ppl that take gaming so overly serious that they can't handle a loss.
Anyway, i'm used to the voting happening, i just wish at the very least they wouldnt have that box stick in the corner of the screen for so long and maybe make it more transparent. Even if i did turn round when ppl vote i wouldnt see fk all for that box till it was too late lol

This happened all the time in confrontation, the voting system has been the same since socom 1, but ever since we are now forced to play with the yanks this 'voting culture' has kicked off. They vote you off if they dont know you, if you are new to the game, want space for their clan member or if you make a mistake. Its a joke. This happens in public rooms, public rooms were anyone should be allowed to join any game and play at their leisure, obviously if someone is deliberately team killing then its ok, but they shouldnt be voted out otherwise. You are being restricted playing the game, the devs should do something about it. If they want to be able to invite people they should make a private room with a password.
OAPboba wrote:Voting seemed fine on the PS2 SOCOMs but it got stupid on Confrontation. I remember being in a room and a friend of mine joined. He was a SOCOM veteran but had only just bought his PS3 so had no rank. He was kicked out of the room beofre he'd even had a chance to speak. This was not to make room for clan members. It was (surprise surprise) Americans kicking a "noob" in case he dented their chance of winning. Will this also happen on Special Forces? I suspect so unfortunately.

I actually don't do it, because I can't be bothered to open up the menu and wait on it loading and put a vote on someone.Im only explaining why it is done. The only time I would consider it is a Clan match and ive not played one of those since SOCOM3 and can't see me doing one any time soon.
The box it comes up in is HUGE though, they need to put the voting dialogue elsewhere or at least make it a lot smaller

Had a lot of bad experience with kicking, especially in rainbow 6 vegas. If there is an option to kick somone from the game people will abuse it, that is simply a fact.
If people are worried about team killing, just stick a limit of 3 per round on and your automaticly locked out of the servers for a few hours, that will stop it
Thats a bit harsh now is'nt it?
Its quite easy to accidently kill a team mate.

Solution to abusing the vote system (warning players of the enemy close by) is this....
As someone already said (cal?) Lock the camera so we only see what the player sees
Or.... If a dead guy votes a livin guy, dont tell anyone who is alive until they are dead. Then there would be no-point in voting... right? That making sense?

I thought that'd be a nice, simple solution, but no-one ever listens to me

Sounds like a plan, how about 5, if seperate players or 3 if the same player, sometimes these things get personal ![]()
