If you look at the majority of the latest threads in the Socom HQ forum, its all negatives...

So for a change what posotives are there from the PS3s Socom Titles?

Personally for me i have made some great new gaming buddies from Confrontation and Special forces, and it has tought me more tactical gameplay than any of the classic FPS have ever done...

Theres a reason why these boards are negative because us Fans are sik of every developer not listening to us, they change the game so it doesnt feel lor play like socom. Socom confrontation i could live with as people played mostly how socom should play. Special forces i just hate it its just like mw2 3rd person. Confrontation i met alot of the old timers at first who then dissaperared only a rare few left, then there was cool new guys who i played with P3L Clan, QRL

So to sum it up you made some new freinds correct?

I love the game play of confrontation, i think it works very well, the guns are a good variety and as a whole i really rate it... Special Forces i like it, i understand where people dont, but i very rarely got affected by these grenade spams and junk. I love the visuals on both titles.

I got no real issues with the new game.
1. I liked MAG the standard mode is a better than MAG with the updated of graphics. Did like using the transports and large guns but this would need bigger map as sometimes it was bit crazy.
2. Classic is a better tatical version of the game. Socom conf. and the Tilly with a thermal most maps where a sniper fest.

People moan but as a game SC4 isn't a bad game, its better than most shooters out there ye its not a patch on the old titles but  SC2 was a really hard act to follow.  nice thread

totally agree, i had plenty of bad words to say about Socom 4 when it first came out. Hated the camera angle, hated the HUD, pretty much hated everything about it. But after finally giving up on Confrontation due to the cheaters and terrible frame rate/lag, i have given Socom 4 a proper' try. And im really loving the game, im  still getting my arsed kicked most games but im having fun and thats what its all about. And i just want to say, Zipper may have made a lot  of changes but they sure do know how to make some wicked online maps and im now downloading the map pack which i cant wait to play

I think wen s4 was announced we all hoped for a socom2 clone,

But you have to update the franchise as bf and cod have taken alot of sales due to there game types.
I love socom 4 just wish i had friends who play it more, hate playing online by myself.

I agree. While this game isn't perfect, I personally love it.

I've been very critical of some games this year, especially CoD and Crysis 2. But I really don't understand why so many people don't like this game. It gets good support (unlike CoD & Crysis 2) from Zipper. And it's great fun, although very difficult online.

There are a few changes that need to be made though:

1) Please get rid of the 'Small Maps' games. They are just mindless CoD style grenade fests. Make these retards play it properly, on a bigger map!

2) I would like to see the Concussion grenades do less damage. Many games are just constant grenade spam, and allowing people to have 2 frags and 2 concussions makes it worse.

3) Maybe I'm just crap at this game, but I suspect some players of cheating. I'm not great at this game I admit, but there have been many times I've wondered "How did he know I was there?".

4) European servers please! Anyone playing in Europe has a disadvantage against the Yanks.
